The purpose was breast reduction surgery. I ended up getting a consultation after an ultrasound, following a recommendation.
At ㅎㅇ ㄷ University Hospital I couldn't ask about the cost, but during the consultation, the professor said that for safety during surgery, it would be better if I lost some weight first. Maybe because I weigh a bit more, he seemed a little unsure.
At ㄱㄴ ㅅㅂㄹs I was given a cost estimate (including additional expenses, it was over about 10 million won) The hospitals up north are at a similar level, so I thought the price would probably be around that much too, and it felt overwhelming. The professor and other doctors were there together, discussing things as they proceeded. Everything was good, but the consultation atmosphere felt a little uncomfortable, so even though it was a minor issue, it gave me something to worry about.
I’m going to look into private clinics some more too.
