Breast Re-Surgery@breast-redo

Large chest circumference + tall height + pectus carinatum revision surgery review, day 1

Before my first surgery I worried so much, and after surgery I regretted the size a lot. When I was getting revision surgery too, I felt like my head was going to explode, but each review like this was so helpful. I’m posting this hoping it helps people similar to me.

First, I’m 170 cm, have broad shoulders, and a wide chest circumference. I usually wear size 80 bras.. and my breast base width came out as about 13, I think. I was between average and chubby, but I was an A cup. My breasts were like a chubby elementary school kid’s. I had some upper-breast volume, but the distance below the nipple to the inframammary fold was short, and I had no lower-breast volume..

I was so stressed that eventually in 2020, I had surgery with BellaGel High 350 cc implants.

Because my rib cage was wide, my shoulders were broad, and my breast base was large, they said a larger volume would suit me well, so I did that.. I regretted it quite a bitㅠ ㅠ My breasts became way, way too big.. What I wanted was a C cup, but this was just;;; After surgery, for Venus Solb bras I wore 80 when I lost weight and 85F when I gained weight, and regular bras felt like an E cup was packed full. For reference, the breast shape.. because I have pectus carinatum, they were a bit wide-set, but everyone said they were pretty.

Because my waist is straight, I usually have to wear fitted tops that cinch the waist to look slim.. But then my breasts look really, really huge. To the point my friends said they could see nothing but my boobs..

Even when I was undressed, rather than looking pretty and sexy.. it felt like, wow.. huge boobs.. enormous boobs.. seriously so damn big;; So I wondered why I had made them this big. (How do women with a smaller breast base and narrower rib cage than me live with 350 cc?? I really felt like I had become a dairy cowㅠㅠ)

And once the breasts definitely got bigger, a person looks duller and bulkier.. I really, really hate looking bulky and fleshy, but because my breasts got bigger, unless I wore tight clothes that emphasized my chest, everything else made me look fatter and heavier than before surgeryㅇㅇ It was such a dilemma.. hoodies were especially bad, and before surgery I lived in hoodies.. but I think I barely wore them for 2 years after surgery.

Another reason I decided on revision surgery was.. This is a personal reason, but I still had some basic upper-breast tissue(?) so the feel was on the good side. (When I had my revision consultation, the manager touched my BellaGel breasts and was impressed.. she said the feel was really good.) Even so, because there was just something too big inside, all my boyfriends definitely knew... and I started hating touching my own breasts too. They said if I reduced the size a bit, the feel would improve too.. so I wanted that.

+ I also considered removal.. but when I looked at past photos of myself undressed, I really couldn’t do removalㅋㅋㅋㅋ I thought the sense of loss would be too big.

Anyway, that’s why I had revision surgery for the purpose of reducing the size, (and the BellaGel implant issue was also a big factor..) I agonized hugely between Motiva Mini vs Mentor Xtra. The reason was the feel.

The BellaGel High 350 cc I previously had had a diameter of 12 cm and a projection of 4.6 cm.

I heard Motiva Mini has the lowest projection among Motiva implants, so I had been planning to switch to that because I could keep the diameter similar.

For reference, they say the lower the implant projection, the better the feel. Because less force is needed to push them together, the implant comes out softer. And they said Motiva Mini spreads out really naturally when lying down, so I was drawn to Motiva Mini. I had almost made up my mind on Motiva Mini 275. (Motiva Mini 275 is 12 and 2.9 / Mini 260 is 11.75 and 2.8)

But the doctor told me, with my nipples drooping and having upper-breast volume, if someone like me gets wide-diameter Motiva Mini just because my rib cage is wide, only the upper breast would be emphasized like a male chest, there would be less volume, and I’d look bulkyㅇㅇ.... So he really strongly said he absolutely didn’t recommend it, and recommended Motiva Demi if I was going to do it.

But no matter how much I touched them, Mentor Xtra seemed to feel better than Motiva. So I eventually decided on Mentor Xtra Smooth. I was debating between 270 and 240, but the doctor recommended 240, so I put that in both sides. (Mentor Xtra Moderate and Motiva Demi have similar projections.) 270M+ is 11.4 and 3.8, 240M+ is 10.8 and 3.7

My breast base is also on the wider side, and I’m reducing the existing 12 cm diameter to 10.8 cm, so I was pretty worried they might rotate inside like tennis balls, but since it was the doctor’s recommendation, I trusted him and decided on that.

Yesterday I spent 1 hour choosing only the implants and then went into surgery, and today is day 1.

I have drains in and am tightly wrapped with bandages, so I have no idea at all what my breasts look likeㅎㅎ

For now, the pain feels like less than 1/3 of the first surgery..... Today I even went to work with the drains in, wearing a slightly large coat. It’s manageable enough.

Please, I hope my breasts came out pretty and natural. I’ll post another review around day 3.
