I’m writing this because I thought people might be curious about reviews from a long time after removal surgery.
I had open surgery with a silicone implant and cartilage tying, but starting about 1-2 years later, the silicone shape seemed to show through at the nasal tip? and it got red, so I decided to have removal surgery. I looked into several hospitals, and the place where I had my first surgery said they would remove it for free, so I had the surgery. Because I was worried about contracture, I left the cartilage as is and had only the silicone removed through an open approach. I think I was meeting people less than a week into recovery. I went around with just a sticker like an acne patch on the incision area underneath, so I don’t think people really noticed. It’s now been almost 10 years since the surgery, and I’ve been doing fine without any issues. Very occasionally, the nasal tip area where the cartilage was tied gets red once in a while haha. I’m trying to think of this as something I just have to live withㅜㅜ
I didn’t get anything like contracture, and I know people considering removal must be worrying a lot, but don’t worry too much, look into hospitals carefully, and get the surgery soon~!
I joined this community to look into removing the chin implant I had done a few years agoㅜㅜ I’m so sick of siliconeㅜㅜ
