I got nose surgery near my home when I was young and didn’t know any better, then lived with it.
It looked unnatural, showed through, and the shape was pointy too, so I had the implant removed and kept living like that, now I’m looking into revision surgery.
Seriously~~~~ unless it’s a real complex, it’s right not to go under the knife in the first place. And if you are going to do it, the first surgery is the most important, so please really research carefully. Think of the first surgery as the last surgery.
ㅇㄱㅈㅅㅇ CT scan, systematic large hospital feel. Honestly, aside from the factory-style vibe, everything was good here. The cost was a plus too. I had to wait a little a long time for the doctor. He really is a nose specialist, because he knew right away just by feeling it. He listened to everything I said one by one, and tried to compromise as much as possible to fit me. And earlier, the coordinator said my nose was pretty, but the doctor said it seemed a bit high and that he would lower it slightly. But I had also thought the tip was a little high. Our aesthetic standards can differ, but at least I felt the surgeon and I shared a similar sense of aesthetics to some extent. He also recommended removing the splint on day 5 or 6, and recommended an open approach. Other than that, both the coordinator and the doctor were really nice. If it weren’t for the factory-style feel, I probably would have decided on this place right away.

ㄱㅇㅅ Here they recommended refining it and Megaderm? artificial dermis. The cost is very high. They didn’t do a CT scan, felt my nose, and said a closed approach was possible, but recommended an open approach.
ㅇㅈ No CT scan; they took photos with the doctor’s phone and consulted right away. The doctor explained roughly how the surgery would go in detail. He also explained the possibility of using ear cartilage and artificial dermis. It was the most expensive, and VAT was separate. They said the cost would be the same whether materials were used or not. Surgery would be done with an open approach.
ㅋㅂㅈ I wanted to hear an ENT specialist’s opinion too, so I got a CT scan. The consultation fee was in the low 30,000 won range. They definitely analyzed things carefully, and were extremely kind. This is a doctor who would try to accommodate as much of what I said as possible. But I felt their aesthetic standard was a little different from what I wanted; they said it would look prettier if the nose were made a bit higher. Actually, this part can be adjusted by the doctor to suit my needs, but I basically wanted the surgeon who would work on my nose and I to share at least a somewhat similar aesthetic sense, so that part bothered me quite a bit. And they showed that the septum was deviated a lot, with photos. They corrected it on the simulation board and showed me, so I could roughly predict what my nose would look like after surgery, which was nice. And they clearly analyzed and talked about my nose professionally, which actually helped me become more certain about my own nose. They also said it would be good to do rhinitis surgery too, since insurance would cover it. I’m going to look into this part more. They strongly recommended an open approach.
I think I’ll decide after visiting a few more places next month. Going around to multiple clinics definitely makes you feel unsure at first, but now I’m getting a sense of direction. As I learn more about my nose, which I didn’t understand before, the picture feels clearer. I hope everyone shops around wisely, and I hope this ends up being everyone’s last surgery!!!
