My eye condition - I had revision eye surgery, but both sides came undone and drooped. When my eyes are tired and I’m too lazy to open them properly, I walk around with my eyes half-open, so because of my upper eyelids my eyes look small and sleepy. When I’m focused on something or having fun, I open my eyes properly all the way (no forehead use).
What all 4 doctors said in common: The line from the first surgery was set too high. Because the eyes have come undone, the current line looks thin. The distance between the eyes and eyebrows is short and the skin is thick, so a semi-out line is only weakly possible if you do an upper canthoplasty. There is also something called a forehead lift... but I won’t recommend going that far. Think about it later. If you do it, you’ll get the cool, glamorous eyes you want.
What they said differently 3 doctors - upper canthoplasty, ptosis correction, incisional method >Get ptosis correction (Among the 3, 1 said - the line is too high, let’s slightly trim the upper eyelid tissue, attach it, and lower the line) When they made the line, they used a skewer-like tool to make a thin, clean line. The eyelid tissue didn’t protrude and it looked natural.
1 doctor - upper canthoplasty, lowering the line, incisional method > You don’t need ptosis correction. It only looks that way because it’s hidden by the upper eyelid. Your eye-opening strength is good. If you have revision surgery, the upper eyelid will go up and your eyes will look properly open.
Your eyes only look like this because they’re currently undone; they are sausage eyes. The current line is on the high side, and if you do an incision as is, it will become thick sausage eyes. Let’s lower the line and make it a thin sausage. Even so, I’ll lower it so the semi-out line still shows. Whatever you do, you can’t get away from the sausage look. If you hate sausage eyes, don’t have surgery and live with them undone. When making the line, they used something like rounded metal? and pressed hard to make it snap into place. The eyelid tissue protruded and it looked extremely sausage-like.
Since what they said is this different, my mind has gotten kind of complicated ㅠㅠㅠ I agree with what the 1 doctor said about not needing ptosis correction, because when the 3 doctors made the line during the consultation and I looked at my eyes, the upper part of the iris was fully visible, so my eyes looked bigger, you know? ㅠ So I thought to myself, if I get double eyelid surgery like this, maybe I don’t need ptosis correction, hmm.
And the sausage comment,, when I had my first double eyelid surgery before, it wasn’t sausage eyes. It protruded a little, but I didn’t think it was sausage-like. But now my upper eyelid does protrude along my undone double eyelid line, so I had been thinking, hmm, why is the flesh along my double eyelid line sticking out.. so I do relate. Because of this, even if I use a famous mascara, it definitely droops in less than 30 minutes, and eyeshadow gets on my eyelashes and turns whitish.
Should I go to another clinic tomorrow and get another consultation? I’m so conflicted,, The reason I’m conflicted is that I relate to the explanation from the 1 doctor and want to do it there, but I also don’t want to lower the line ㅠㅠ I want a high semi-out line like Jang Wonyoung’sㅠㅠㅠ But then when I look at the line the doctor made, my eyebrows and eyes are so close that it feels too much.
