Before<before>After<after> 2-month review of lower/lateral canthoplasty + incisional double eyelid surgery
First, the reason I chose the clinic was that I saw a review saying an acquaintance of an acquaintance had a good result, and I heard they were good at canthoplasty, so I chose it.
During the consultation, they said I had a lot of fat in my eyes, so I needed an incision. The eye shape I wanted was an inline crease, and I wanted it to be somewhat noticeable, so we decided on 8 mm double eyelid surgery. For the canthoplasty, I just asked them to get rid of the narrow-looking eyes as much as possible and make them look more open. They did say I would see good results because my eyes were quite narrow. After the consultation, I decided right away without much worry and booked immediately.
First, after surgery, it hurt a lot because of the canthoplasty ㅠ I was really worried when getting the stitches removed, but it didn’t hurt much then. Even now my eyes sting a lot, and when I wake up in the morning I have a lot of eye discharge, but it’s getting a little better day by day, and I also have a foreign-body sensation. In photos, the double eyelids look a bit uneven, and they are a bit like that in real life too ㅋㅋ But I’m not particularly dissatisfied. They were originally uneven, and I think overcorrecting would make them look more unnatural..
I really like the double eyelid line, but the scar is still quite noticeable, so I’m thinking about trying scar ointment. Behind one side of the canthoplasty, the mucous membrane still looks red and I sometimes have pain, but it’s tolerable. I tried wearing contact lenses and didn’t have any particular discomfort.
Oh, and I have eyeliner tattooed, but when I had monolids it was covered and didn’t show. After double eyelid surgery, it shows properly, so it’s kind of not great;;
Also, the scar on the lateral canthoplasty area is still very noticeable... There’s still a ㄷ shape too, so I guess I need to watch the progress more... The dry eye has gotten much better, but when I’m tired, my eyes feel dry, stiff, and sore. The photos were taken after staying up all night, so as expected they got red. Because I was tired, some tiny blood vessels also burst.. The incisional double eyelid areas also seem to be gradually losing swelling.. But I think more swelling needs to go down.
Still, comparing before and after, I really had a glow-up.
