My nose: slight aquiline bump / the tip area is round and fleshy so it looks very thick / broad nostrils / not planning to alter the bridge height much (it’s not very low anyway) + the area between the eyes and the nose is somewhat sunken in
Weekday Thu/Fri morning and afternoon slots, so waiting times may differ Laser service count, etc. may vary a bit
<<Thursday, 6/8>> 1. ㅋㅂㅈ consultation fee: 10,000 won About 10 minutes with the doctor No waiting, went straight in from manager - doctor - manager This was the only place I went to based on a recommendation from people around me, because my two friends had their surgery there! They seemed to recommend a natural look with minimal side effects I roughly knew the doctor’s style, and friends said the reviews were kind and good, so I trusted my friend and went there (my friend’s nose also turned out naturally pretty)
(Left a 100,000 won deposit / after deducting the 10,000 won consultation fee, 90,000 won refundable Refundable regardless of time)
Aquiline bump + tip (ear cartilage if septal cartilage is insufficient) + bulbous nose Nostrils would be handled first by lifting the tip, and if that’s not enough later, a separate surgery Surgery time under sedation anesthesia: 1.5 hours
Weekdays: 3 surgeries, Saturdays: 2 surgeries; for major surgeries, only 1 on weekends 3 years free aftercare If you later dislike the tip after surgery, reoperation is possible by paying only the anesthesia fee For follow-up checks, the doctor himself examines you every visit, not a nurse
I seriously 고민( struggled) until the very endㅠ I kept having trouble choosing, so I thought maybe I’d just do it at ㅋㅂㅈ where my friends had theirs...
2. ㅇㅊㅂ consultation fee: 10,000 won Manager - doctor - manager I think we talked for about 35 minutes total They took facial photos and explained things while looking at the pictures The doctor had a gentle style and examined the inside of my nose while touching it
They inserted a cotton swab into my nose and looked at my face photos while talking to me. They said my face was a little asymmetrical. I had never known that in my life until now, but when they pointed it out while looking at the photos, I felt like I understood what they meant. One side of my jaw fat sits a little higher, and the two nostrils are slightly different. For now, the bridge is slightly bent to the left from the center, so the inside of the nose is probably also slightly bent, and they plan to adjust that during surgery They said my skin is thick and my nasal cartilage is weak
Bridge: 2 mm silicone near the glabella + slight shaving of the aquiline bump + thin silicone along the whole bridge (they said if you shave down the bump, it can become bumpy again, so it’s better to use silicone on the bridge) Tip: septal cartilage + ear cartilage + lowering the columella
Surgery time 3 hours, sedation anesthesia Because the nose is crooked, there is about a 50% chance of insurance coverage The manager did not bring up same-day booking while discussing the price Seems cash/card both possible
One surgery per day Surgery only at 10 a.m. on weekdays
3. ㅎㅌ CT (no consultation/CT fee) Manager - doctor - manager Looking at the CT, they said among the 20 people consulted today, mine had the best septal cartilage So they would mostly use septal cartilage, and only a little ear cartilage if needed The doctor’s consultation was very kind, refreshing, and detailed I waited a long time, but the consultation was so good; they caught details well and explained everything clearly. They tailored the consultation to the image of my face Except for the parts that stress me out and the parts the doctor thought should be improved, they recommended not touching too much
I thought my nostrils were wide, but they said that wasn’t really the case They are a little wide, but overall they match the rest of the nose proportions
Aquiline bump, bridge silicone (slight, for harmony), tip septal cartilage / ear cartilage if insufficient (mostly possible with septal cartilage), internal cartilage suturing, opening the nasolabial angle
Sedation anesthesia 1 to 1.5 hours / if it takes long, 2 to 2.5 hours Day 1 and day 7 swelling laser service If swelling doesn’t go down enough, later injection service
100,000 won off if you use 6 review photos 3 each on Gangnam Unni / Babitalk (after surgery, 1 month, 3 months)
1 year aftercare
4. ㅅㅍㄹㅅ CT 10,000 won (optional, you can do it or not) Big building, really great hospital, amazing view, best facilities out of the 4 places I went to today Almost no waiting, straight to CT and then manager consultation Manager - doctor - manager
Front desk nurses were all kind The consultation manager was the kindest and explained things really well The doctor wasn’t just brushing things off, but maybe they are just naturally quiet; they spoke very gently (5-minute consultation, and they said everything that needed to be said in those 5 minutes, so I had no complaints)
This was the first place where the doctor brought up nostril reduction After the doctor consultation, I remembered and asked the manager whether if I raise the tip and reduce it, wouldn’t my nostrils become too small? They said that wouldn’t happen, and that because my nose is wide, doing both together would work better. It was the opposite of what other hospitals said, so I was confused
The cafe reviews were good too, and they showed me before/after nose cases at the hospital, which I liked the most. All the noses in the review photos they showed were pretty (of course, they’d only show the pretty ones), and there were many lines I wanted This was one of the places I was torn about until the end
Surgery time 2.5 hours 1 year aftercare Sedation anesthesia 2 surgeries per day
Bulbous nose correction, cartilage graft, cartilage repositioning, nostril reduction
Review + same-day booking: 700,000 won off I’d heard people say ㅅㅍㄹㅅ was expensive and the building was so nice that I thought it would be super pricey, but it was average
<<Friday, 6/9>> 1. ㅁㅇㄷ photos + CT scan (CT fee 10,000 won) They send the consultation notes via KakaoTalk
The doctor’s consultation was neat and good. They explained things by drawing on the CT and photos, giving a basic, clean impression Aquiline bump + implant + nostril reduction Bridge: septal cartilage + ear cartilage
It can be done without an implant, but they thought using one would be better → Another method: shave down the aquiline bump and fill the space between the tip and the bump with cartilage (may or may not be used during surgery)
Nose surgery (septal cartilage + ear cartilage + bulbous nose correction + lowering the alar base + aquiline bump + nostril reduction). Silicone use to be decided later
1 year free aftercare (additional material fees and anesthesia fee apply)
Aftercare Swelling care (injections, laser) 1 VIP care session (skin care) Scar tissue injection (if needed after follow-up)
Review discount 3 each on Babitalk and Gangnam Unni, 6 total
2. ㅈㅅㅌ
Front desk staff and managers were kind! There were a lot of eye and nose reviews for Jesta, and although my nose was the main issue, I asked whether I could also get an eye consultation on the same day, and they said yes Manager - doctor - manager The manager also sat next to me during the doctor consultation
I really liked the doctor!! Very professional, explained the surgery method in great detail, and gave the most detailed explanation out of the 8 places I consulted
Tip + aquiline bump + nostril reduction + bulbous nose They plan to make only a very slight adjustment to the bridge near the glabella, without raising it much, and for the space between the bump and the tip, they will do a procedure where the cartilage is cut into small pieces and attached one by one → doing it in pieces makes it look less bumpy and more natural Even if the tip is raised, the lower part of the nostrils still feels round, so they’d reduce that too
I also got an eye canthoplasty consultation, and they measured the angles one by one while looking at my eyes. They said my eyes are narrower and more upward-tilted than average. Since I have a lot of eye fat, I asked whether it could be handled with fat removal, but they said it would require a lift, and I was too scared to do thatㅎㅎ
Sedation / local anesthesia Review discount: 1,000,000 won off For 1 year, I’d have to send about 15 to 20 photos every 1 to 2 months (I saw in another review before that they check every single angle and make it a hassle, so I gave up because I thought I’d just get stressed)
3. Hmm, if you’re curious, ask in a private comment No consultation fee Photos taken and then almost immediate consultation, no waiting Manager - doctor - manager
Unusually, I kept talking in the manager’s room, and then the doctor came in and I had the consultation with the doctor there, with the manager still present
(Manager consultation) They asked if I had already had a lot of consultations up front, and I said yes. The atmosphere was weird, hard to describe in words. Then they asked if I had another appointment after this, and since I couldn’t remember the hospital name, I said I was going to Apgujeong. They went, “? Other customers usually tell us the hospital name,” so I got flustered too and then remembered and told them the name
When talking about the price with the manager, they said they would deduct 500,000 won if I booked that day. I asked whether I could let them know by tomorrow instead, and they clearly showed annoyance. That’s when I already started feeling put off
They asked why tomorrow, and I said I had another consultation booked and had come from far away, so I had to take the train back right away and didn’t have time to think. They said, “You can think about it while riding the train, can’t you?” That kind of attitude If it wasn’t possible, they should just say it’s not possible instead of acting like that. Is it really such a problem to show your annoyance to someone who could become a customer? I felt like they were just projecting their bad mood directly onto me Later I thought, even if something went wrong with the surgery or I had a complaint, they would probably fight with the customer, so not doing it was the right answer After that, they said it was originally a same-day booking system, so it wasn’t possible, but they asked me to reply by tomorrow morning, so I said okay and left
During the consultation, they should either tell the customer from the beginning that they’ll summarize everything on KakaoTalk later, or not. They just rambled on by themselvesㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Like, casually saying “On day 1 we do this~~~~” They already know it and it’s the same info repeated, so maybe they were bored, but I was like, what is this? They just rattled it all off and moved on. Of course, none of that part came in the KakaoTalk summary While the doctor was consulting me, they were typing next to us the whole time, so I thought I’d get a detailed KakaoTalk note later, but there wasn’t much
The KakaoTalk summary only included the surgical area + surgery price
This was my 7th consultation by the time I got to this hospital, and the manager was the worst There’s no real need to rank it, but after going for a consultation, this was the only place I left feeling bad. I wondered if they thought I was easy to handle? Or am I just being insecure? The doctor took a good look at me, so that was fine, but unless there’s something special, I don’t think I’d choose them
The doctor definitely seems to like a more glamorous look; from the sketches, they drew it with a raised tip and silicone more than the other hospitals
Sedation anesthesia
Silicone + septal cartilage + bulbous nose correction + nasolabial angle correction + aquiline bump correction + possible additional donor costal cartilage
(The price was cheap)
4. ㅋㅇㅍㄹㅅ CT fee 10,000 won The manager was super kind The doctor’s consultation was kind too
Manager - doctor - manager This was the longest consultation I had with the doctor. They showed many photos of similar cases, and the way they shaped my nose with a cotton swab was the one I liked the most Seems like they pursue a natural look
When I asked whether I should choose no implant or an implant (thin silicone), since I couldn’t answer right away, they explained the pros and cons of both and recommended that no implant would be better They said nostril reduction is optional, but if you raise the tip, the nostrils become slimmer, so it’s better to try the tip first and do nostril reduction later if needed The photos the hospital showed were more about naturalness + improving the problem areas than glamorous noses They handled and examined my nose the most carefully and thoroughly
The consultation was long so there was more, but I can’t remember it..
Aquiline bump, no implant, tip, bulbous nose correction
Free swelling laser whenever you want (When I asked if I could come every day, they said I could come every day)
Price order (prices when I wrote the reviews + places without review events are just regular price)
ㅎㅌ > ㅋㅂㅈ (no review) = ㅇㅊㅂ (no review) > ㅁㅇㄷ > ㅅㅍㄹㅅ > ㅈㅅㅌ > ㅋㅇㅍㄹㅅ (no review) > xxx (no review)
If you get insurance coverage at ㅇㅊㅂ, there’s a chance of about 50% reimbursement (with insurance coverage, it’s the cheapest) The difference between the most expensive and the cheapest place was about 1,000,000 won
I’m having nose surgery tomorrow, so I was organizing all this now hoping it might help even one personㅋㅋㅋㅋ I already summarized my review of how I chose the surgery hospital in the previous post, so if anyone’s curious, take a look!! Then I’ll go get a pretty nose tomorrow and come back!!
