I’m male, and my nose bridge was originally very high, and my nasal tip was also on the higher side, so my nose was close to already complete. It was what everyone here would commonly call a nose that doesn’t need surgery, but to me, it was stressful because it didn’t feel refined. Because my nasal tip felt blunt, I gathered information from YouTube, this community, and other sources, searched around, and actually had surgery. This is my review. It wasn’t what people commonly call a bulbous nose, but I had bulbous nose surgery for just a small improvement in the nasal tip.
This is the type of case that all plastic surgeons say on YouTube is the hardest to see results from in rhinoplasty:
1. The nose bridge is already high 2. The nasal tip is already high 3. Thick skin
I had surgery while being hit with this full three-piece set, and to get straight to the point, the effect is very minimal.
For the surgical method, there’s really no other way except tying the cartilage and forcibly lifting the nasal tip a bit more.
If there is fat inside the nose (in reality, unless someone is severely obese, you can assume most people don’t have fat in the nose) or tying the cartilage (this also has a corrective effect only for a very small number of people, and most people should assume they won’t see it)
Basically, the nasal tip just became higher, and the alar line narrowed a little in proportion to how much it was lifted.
You should not expect the effect you’re imagining, where the nasal tip becomes slimmer from the front. Of course, the side profile line becomes more defined, but what we want is for the nasal tip to look slimmer from the front.
Anyway, before surgery, you’re probably still searching around like I used to, but this is real, so think carefully.
Even after I had surgery, most people didn’t know I had it done. Because it was already high, and the frontal reduction effect is almost nonexistent.
If you want the nasal tip to look smaller from the front, it’s better not to expect that. I only recommend it to people who want their side profile to look better.
