Nose Re-Surgery

The silicone at the tip of my nose was protruding, so yesterday I had the silicone and ear cartilage removed

A month ago, the tip of my nose became raised and red like a pimple, so when I went back to my parents' home, I got an acne anti-inflammatory injection at a nearby dermatology clinic. The director said it would not disappear completely after one shot and told me to come back a week later. After the injection, it noticeably went down for 2 to 3 days, but since I kept blowing my nose because of my rhinitis, it became red again. While I was back at my parents' home and then returned to where I live alone, I went to a dermatology clinic near the station and said I was there for a second anti-inflammatory injection. It did not work as well as the first one, so I asked by phone, and they said it was an abscess injection. A week later, I went to a different dermatology clinic for a third acne anti-inflammatory injection. It got a little smaller, but the effect was not as good as the first time. It was not improving well at all, so just in case, I contacted the hospital in Busan where I had my nose surgery 3 years ago. They said the anti-inflammatory injection would not help and prescribed medicine. (3 days after I contacted them, they closed.) The inflammation disappeared almost completely, but something was sticking out in a straight line, so I had an X-ray and ultrasound at the plastic surgery department of a general hospital. They said the silicone was protruding and suggested surgery that same day, but I never want revision surgery again, so I did not have surgery and instead made consultations at 2 of the 3 major hospitals in Seoul and one recently popular clinic. Every hospital asked why I came only now... but I did not know it would protrude like that as soon as the inflammation subsided. Everyone, if it looks like a pimple, make sure to contact the hospital where you had the surgery.* The next day after the consultations, I had exactly one available time slot, so I had the surgery yesterday. When I had surgery 3 years ago, they also shaved down the hump, did rhinitis surgery at the same time, and put gauze in my nose, so it hurt afterward. This time they did not put in gauze at all, and it does not hurt at all. My face does not swell easily, so it did not swell 3 years ago either, and it still did not swell this time. Still, my nose will probably be swollen, so I plan to drink pumpkin juice haha. If my family or close friends say they want nose surgery, I am absolutely going to stop them. You only feel satisfied in that moment; it seems everyone ends up having nose surgery more than once... The stress and emotional suffering from side effects seem worse than the money itself. It is now day 1, and I am wearing a splint, but just the fact that the silicone is out makes me feel so relieved. For those who are scheduled for surgery soon, hang in there! I will also try to take good care of myself for the next 6 months!
