[Chin tip lengthening and advancement + square jaw + cheekbones] 2 months post-op! Detailed...

Before <before surgery> After <1 month post-op> After <2 months post-op>* Surgical clinic: a plastic surgery clinic * Surgical areas: chin tip lengthening and advancement + square jaw + cheekbones

Because facial contouring is a major surgery, I was very worried, so even after making a reservation, I had another consultation before getting the surgery.

I asked everything I was curious about in detail: how many millimeters would be done to the jaw and cheekbones and in what way, whether a gap would form in the bone when lengthening the chin tip, and whether the shape and length of the lengthened chin would be maintained as is.

I had consultations at many other places too, but the reason I was drawn to this clinic was that they actually advised me against it, saying that shaving off a lot of bone does not necessarily make the face smaller. The director did not overtreat and only recommended the parts that were necessary. They honestly told me that if too much bone is removed, the remaining soft tissue can sag, so you should not shave more than the limit to which facial fat/soft tissue can shrink. That was something I had not heard anywhere elseㅠㅠ I felt they would balance the soft tissue and bone well while considering my facial appearance, so I ultimately decided on this clinic and had the surgery there.

For the first 3 weeks, the swelling was severe, and after passing week 4, a lot of the swelling went down and the line gradually started to show.

Now I am 2 months post-op, and a lot of sensation has returned. There is no particular discomfort in daily life, so it does not really bother me. Even though I still have residual swelling, I have heard many times that my face looks much smaller than before. Seeing my facial line change more and more every day makes me think I made the right choice getting the surgery.

What I felt after surgery is that the director’s style and communication are really important, and post-op care is important too. Besides swelling care, after surgery, whether you can contact the consultant well is important. Early on, I contacted them a few times about swelling and pain, and because they gave good feedback, I did not feel anxious during the waiting process and felt reassured.

I heard residual swelling can last from 6 months to as long as 1 year, so I do not know how much more my face will change from now on, but for now, I am satisfied with the surgical result~!
