Before/after Height 162 / weight 49 / total 500 from the back of the upper arms
When I first had my consultation with the director, he said there wasn’t much fat to remove and expected to take out about 200 from each side, around 400 total, but I asked him to remove as much as possible. After the surgery, I asked the consultant, and she said they removed 500 in total, so I’m very satisfied haha
Since they only removed fat from the back side, they only made one opening at the elbow. Around week 2, the compression garment that had felt really tight definitely felt so much easier to put on and take off?? They alter it for free, so I sent it for alteration right away and spent about a day without the compression garment. But when I got it back and actually wore it, it was so tight that it felt like the blood wasn’t circulating, like in the early days after surgery? The clinic said I could take it off for a bit if it was too hard, so I think I took it off for about 2-3 hours a day.
Now, at one month, I still can’t raise my arms all the way up, but I can wash my hair by myself and have no problem with daily life. However, when I lift my arms a little, I can see some fibrotic lumps like cellulite, but when I went for my 2-week checkup, they said the fibrosis would gradually go away, so I feel reassured. Since they only made an opening at the elbow, I don’t think the scar will show much either haha Oh, and my elbow hurts so much. The surgical area is a little above the elbow, but only the elbow is red and painful. I wonder if it’s because the compression garment made so much dead skin build up on my elbow, and I scrubbed it too hard. More dead skin builds up on the body than I expected, so I think it would be good to apply body lotion well too. I didn’t have any bruising either. Now I only have one month left to wear the compression garment. I want to take it off soon and wear sleeveless tops comfortably haha
