Before-before, after-after I wanted to improve my nasal tip, which looked slightly low compared with my nasal bridge, so while looking into nasal-tip surgery, I had CoGelCo surgery, which can naturally raise the nasal tip through a closed approach, together with hump refinement surgery.
The things I considered most important before surgery were “naturalness” and “fast recovery.” In my case, because of personal schedule constraints, I was not in a situation where I could rest for a long time, so I needed to be able to return to daily life right after surgery, and I felt reluctant about using artificial implants. Also, I did not want an unconditionally high and slim nose; I wanted no major change from my original nose shape, just improvement of the nasal tip. So a natural nose shape was the most important factor when deciding on surgery. The surgery that could satisfy all of those conditions was CoGelCo, and after the consultation, I decided on surgery without hesitation. Since my hump was not severe, I had a procedure to very slightly shave and refine the bone along with CoGelCo.
Day of surgery: I was very worried it would hurt because they said they would shave the bone for the hump correction, but after surgery I had no painful feeling in my nose at all, and only the ear where cartilage was harvested had slight pain. My nose had simple taping, and although it felt a little swollen, it did not hurt! On the first day, there was some bleeding from the incised side of the nose, but other than that there was nothing particularly uncomfortable, and I wore a mask and went about daily life well. I consistently took the prescribed medication to help the swelling go down quickly and also did cold compresses often. Even though it was the day of surgery and the swelling had not gone down yet, my nasal line had become so pretty that I think I was just waiting for the day the taping would be removed :D
Post-op days 2-3: The taping was removed on day 3, and there was a very small bruise on the nasal bridge on the side where the hump had been shaved, and the swelling was not severe. The cotton in my ear was removed, and I consistently applied the prescribed ointment inside my nose and to my ear. To reduce swelling, I also worked hard with cold compresses for about a week.
Post-op days 4-7: After the taping was removed, makeup was possible, so I did my makeup carefully while trying not to irritate the nose area as much as possible and went about daily life. As the bruise on the nasal bridge faded, the surrounding area turned a little yellow, but it could all be covered with makeup. It had not even been a week, but if I did not say anything, no one would have known I had nose surgery. It was that natural, and recovery was fast! It was not very obvious, but it felt like it had naturally improved into the nasal line I wanted, so from then on I was very satisfied.
~ Post-op week 2: After entering week 2, the yellow bruising was all gone and the swelling had gone down a lot, so it seemed to be getting even prettier! The feeling in my nose had also almost returned to how it was before surgery, and the changed line is fascinating, so I look in the mirror every day and feel satisfied haha
I am very satisfied because my nasal tip and hump were improved really naturally, without unnecessary procedures, and safely using my own cartilage! The counseling manager, hospital staff, and director were all kind and examined everything carefully, so I could trust them and receive surgery well. For anyone who wants to achieve all three things: a natural nose, fast recovery, and safety, this is a surgery I strongly want to recommend :)
