It’s been about 2 and a half years since my first surgery. I did it without an implant, and septal cartilage, ear cartilage, and postauricular fascia were used. Maybe because it was autologous, I had no inflammatory reaction at all. As for the shape, the change is so small that no one can notice it..
My complex wasn’t completely resolved, but unless something major happened, I was just going to live with it. Nose surgery is such a hard thing to go through.. money, time, mental strength.. But the septum that had been crooked since right after surgery and the uneven nostrils are still the same, and the inside and outside of one nostril became smaller, so breathing has also become uncomfortable. The doctor said, well.. this level of discomfort is something you have to accept if you’re going to have nose surgery.
Now I’m looking into revision surgery, and it’s stressful in many ways. If I do it again, I hope it goes well.
