Ah.. after searching and looking through this community all day, the number of options keeps increasing lol
I currently have consultations booked at 6 hospitals around Gangnam, all focused on revision surgery specialists and natural-looking hospitals.
Honestly, since mine is a revision surgery and I also have a slight contracture, I had only been looking mainly at “plastic surgery centers.” I didn’t even look at clinics.. (just with the simple thought that they’re not plastic surgery specialists)
On top of that, among the “clinics” mentioned for revision surgery, when I looked at the before-and-after photos on their websites, there weren’t any places I liked..
I think a natural shape with a slightly rounded nasal tip would suit my face better. Fancy hospitals and glamorous nose shapes are pretty, but they’re not my style.
Then.. somehow I found out about one more clinic, and it’s so my styleㅠㅠ
But it’s a clinic, and they say the doctor mostly operates using autologous costal cartilage..? They also apparently use autologous costal cartilage a lot even for primary surgeries.. The price also seems on the expensive side. Since I’m a revision case, I am considering autologous costal cartilage too.. anyway.
When viewed from the side, the columella, nasolabial angle, and nasal tip line looked natural and pretty by my standards.. Since mine is slightly upturned, it seemed like the doctor is really good at lowering it. Honestly, I had been looking for hospitals thinking it just needs to look natural, it just needs to improve, I won’t be greedy. But since this clinic adds “pretty” on top of natural, I’m so tempted.. Looking at premium reviews in this community, it doesn’t seem bad. The downside feels like it’s expensive? And the doctor seems a bit cynical..
But I really want this surgery to be my last and finally graduate from nose surgery. Plastic surgery center vs clinic.. for revision surgery, would a plastic surgery center still be better..? Everyone, what would you do?..!!? Am I thinking too narrowly..
