Last week, after a consultation at Dite, I booked my surgery, and I also had the preoperative tests done that day. I decided to do it through an inframammary incision, subfascial placement. I was recommended Motiva Mini 230 cc / or Motiva Demi 260 cc + hybrid (additional fat grafting). I thought about it for a bit, but 260 cc felt a bit too much, and I really did not want fat grafting, so I decided on the 230 cc Mini. (I did not want to go big.)
I have an underlying condition and was taking medication, and the anesthesiologist contacted me saying they needed to check a few things, so that made me trust them more lol
Finally had surgery yesterday afternoon. Honestly, I went in having barely slept ;; Thinking that I would not be able to exercise for a while made me so sad, so I ran 5 km at dawn, came back, did the laundry, ran the dryer, cleaned the bathroom, washed the dishes, vacuumed, watered the plants, got my child ready for school, set everything up through after school, took my daily medication right before the fasting time, ate, drank coffee lol Then I went to work, quickly finished my tasks, and went to the hospital.
Before surgery, the director carefully drew the markings(?) and it was really awkward lol They seemed to check various things for quite a long time while planning the surgery... and explained again what to expect after surgery (the parts that would change and the parts that would not). I went into the operating room, and the anesthesiologist explained various things. Because of my underlying condition and the medications I was taking, they told me they had looked up various papers, and honestly, I was very touched. (I was also grateful that they used a tube held in my mouth instead of intubation, and even in the middle of that, they checked whether I had any wounds inside my mouth - I have a condition that makes oral ulcers develop easily because of my underlying disease;) They say there is CCTV, but that was not the important thing; I was already so full of trust and gratitude that my heart felt overwhelmed lolol Ah, I cannot believe a middle-aged male anesthesiologist (not even someone with an especially soft or gentle way of speaking) made me feel this comfortable lol
It was my first time under general anesthesia, so I was a little worried (the surgery was at 4, and I worried what if I did not wake up until too late and everyone could not leave work + what if I caused a scene while waking up from anesthesia lolol), but I woke up at 6:50. As the anesthesiologist had instructed before anesthesia, I tried very, very hard to take deep breaths from the moment I regained consciousness. I had to wake up quickly and go see my child lolol As soon as I opened my eyes, I felt a wave of gratitude; everyone here is so kind - the director, the anesthesiologist, and the other staff too lol It did not hurt much, so I wondered if the anesthesia had not worn off yet, but when I touched my breasts, they felt a bit numb but I could still feel them. Then the nurse? smiled and said I was one of the lucky painless cases.
I had thought, as long as the surgery goes well without any accidents, I do not care if they are unfriendly lolol, but everyone was very kind. No drains, no compression bandage. (If a problem occurs, hospitalization might be needed... I guess? But I chose this place because they originally said it was 1-day breast surgery. Maybe that means they are confident enough to do it well.) I came out carrying the prescription + nipple patches to use after surgery + Steri-Strips + body oil + 4 boxes of amino acid supplements. I felt a little numb and dazed, like I was slightly drunk, but I was fine enough to walk out and call a designated driver.
After I got home, I ate a huge amount of steak with lots of salt sprinkled on it, so I got thirsty and could not sleep well, but it was not because of pain lol The discomfort was that swallowing was a bit difficult and I kept getting thirsty over and over... Maybe because I had a small volume inserted + the surgery went well + I took anti-inflammatory painkillers + it was subfascial? It felt like my chest was sore after a hard chest workout. I lay down right away and did everything I needed to do. Raising my arms overhead was also manageable. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The place where I had it done provides laser and hyperbaric oxygen therapy on days 1 and 3 after surgery, and they said they start Capsulitis after 1 week. Day 1 after surgery. I had heard today would hurt the most, but I could not tell if it was more painful. It was not to the point where I could not lift my arms or carry anything. (It was much, much less difficult than a C-section lol) For a walk, I walked 15 minutes to the subway and took it there. I briefly saw the director, who checked a few things, then I had some kind of laser treatment and went into the hyperbaric oxygen chamber and came out. This, this really seems good? My head had been foggy like the anesthesia had not fully worn off, but after going into the chamber and coming out, it felt like I had sobered up lol The only downside is that it is extremely boring. I brought a book in with me. (You cannot bring electronic devices inside.) But the strange thing is, my nipples and the surrounding area still feel numb like they belong to someone else, but after coming home, it does not hurt? Ah, it made me think I wanted to buy an oxygen chamber. Once I got home, it definitely did not hurt. (The postoperative care must have been effective.) It felt exactly like when milk comes in after giving birth, which was kind of fascinating.
Since I am someone who is usually very active (they said moderate activity helps recovery), or maybe because I did not put in much volume, my recovery seems fast. Even before surgery, they said I probably would not hurt much, so they repeatedly warned me that I might keep rushing around and end up causing trouble. I guess that was somewhat predictable.
Ah, even if it aches a little, I should endure it.
I had not been very interested in postoperative care and honestly chose this place just for the surgery, but after receiving the care, it really does seem good. So interesting.
I found myself writing a review even though I was not paid lololol Because I am grateful ♥
