Nose Surgery Reviews

Gukwonseok review

It’s been 8 months since I had 15-plus-year-old silicone, ear cartilage, and other materials removed here. Last spring, I started feeling as if my nose was subtly lifting and the silicone was moving upward, along with a foreign-body sensation and even headaches. I was so anxious that I even dreamed about contracture happening multiple times, and I visited more than 7 removal clinics, but this was the place where I received the most trustworthy consultation, so I decided here. I thought a doctor doesn’t necessarily have to be kind, so I wanted a place that could explain things persuasively and logically rather than just say nice-sounding things. I was worried because the doctor was older, but that also meant he had a lot of experience, so he can handle sudden events that may occur during surgery. The price includes sedation anesthesia, and I had already posted detailed reviews of the surgery multiple times on the removal board. To summarize the result, I’m doing very well now. Even up to 2 months after removal, I struggled because of a sense of loss, but from 3 to 4 months onward my overall impression improved a lot. Personally I still had that sense of loss, but people around me didn’t even notice my nose had changed and only said I looked prettier. The surgical nose that had been lifting came down just a little, and the tip and bridge that looked obviously operated on became visually easier on the eyes. The tip is slimmer than my original nose, so it feels like something between my original nose and the surgical nose. The bridge is lower and wider than when the silicone was in, but since my original nose was low to begin with, I’m considering reinforcing that area with filler. The columella scar was from the surgical nose, and removal did not make it any more unsightly. Separate from the existing scar, they made a W-shaped incision, and I wondered if that was really okay, but after looking up materials I found out this was the method that leaves the least scarring. I was so scared, but thanks to the doctor I’m able to live with a nose that has a calm impression and proper function. I’ll keep that gratitude in mind.
