I kept agonizing over breast surgery because I was scared, but once I passed 30, I finally found the courage. So I looked at legwork reviews in this community and researched, and I wanted to share some information too, so I’m writing this! The criteria I used to choose a clinic may not suit everyone. When choosing a clinic, I wanted: The director not to be from a large hospital, factory-style clinic To have at least a certain amount of experience And the most important thing... I also don’t really prefer doctors who feel like they’ve only studied a lot, hahaha My plastic surgery is purely for aesthetic purposes...
The first clinic I went to was ㄹㅇㅇ This was a clinic my friend had looked into for breast surgery, and there were many reviews saying it didn’t hurt, so I went. Since I have asymmetric breasts, they recommended Motiva because it has many size options. So I thought, I guess that’s how it is, maybe I should do that. But Motiva felt too firm to me, so I kept hesitating. The clinic was small, but they did 3D imaging and explained things while looking at it. The director was kind, and the consultant was kind too. But since it was my first consultation, I didn’t decide right away. I wanted to go a bit bigger, but my chest width is small, so the size I wanted would be difficult. They said even if I went bigger, it would be about a B cup... That was a big reason I couldn’t decide right away.
The second clinic was ㅊㄷㄷㅇ Here too, they said I couldn’t go big because my chest width is small, and they recommended Motiva. But the director here really felt like a master of breast surgery... In the director’s office, there were sooooo many beads, beads, and jewels that I was surprised. It gave me the impression that if I ever lost my breasts in an accident or had breast cancer surgery, maybe this is where I should come. It wasn’t the style I wanted, so I passed on this place too.
Both of these clinics recommended Motiva with an inframammary incision. After visiting two clinics, I wondered if I should go through with a surgery where I couldn’t even go big, so I spent a few months thinking and searching. Then I thought I should look into Mentor and started the consultation journey again...
Third clinic ㅇㅇㅌ This clinic... warning, I have a lot to say. I saw YouTube and wanted to have it done by Director ㄱ, so I made a reservation and went. He was exactly the style of doctor I was looking for, so my expectations were the highest. I went thinking that unless something happened on consultation day, I would do it there. I consulted with the consultant first. The consultant said I could probably put in something in the 300 cc range with Mentor, and told me to do a transaxillary incision instead of an inframammary incision. Since my skin is on the fair side, even if the incision is done well, it could leave a scar, so she recommended transaxillary. That made me like this clinic even moooore, and I almost put down a deposit just from the consultant’s consultation. But if I did Mentor with Director ㄱ, the event discount didn’t apply. I figured it was because he was the head director. They recommended asking whether I’d like to receive surgery from Director ㅅ instead. I had seen Director ㅅ on YouTube too, so I said that was fine, had 3D imaging done, and waited... Director ㅅ was in surgery, so they asked me to wait just 30 minutes. I waited, but I ended up waiting an hour.... After waiting an hour, they told me to wait another 30 minutes.... Since I suddenly changed directors, waiting around 30 minutes wasn’t hard. If they had said after that 30 minutes that it would take a bit longer, I would have thought, since I already waited an hour, I might as well wait more.... But they made me wait an hour without saying anything, and then another 30 minutes...? So I got so angry that I left without even consulting with the director. It would have been less upsetting if they had either rescheduled me for another day, or given me the option to receive surgery from Director ㄱ. Unfortunately, I only had the consultant’s consultation and left.
Fourth clinic ㅁㄱ After receiving the transaxillary recommendation at ㅇㅇㅌ, I got into transaxillary incisions and only searched for Mentor with transaxillary incisions. I saw reviews here saying transaxillary didn’t hurt, and thought maybe this place was famous for transaxillary, so I made a reservation and went. Here, unusually, I transferred 10,000 won as a consultation fee when making the reservation. Since I passed on the third clinic because I couldn’t meet the director, among the clinics I actually visited, I think I talked the most with the director here. And the size!!!! When I said I wanted B+, the director recommended, how about C? Other clinics said that because my chest width is small, it would look very obvious. Would that be okay..? Honestly, he could have been offended, because it might have sounded like, other doctors said that, but you can do it?! hahaha He said firmly, with a firm look in his eyes, that with modern medicine, it’s difficult for surgery to leave absolutely no visible sign. I’m telling you this because I don’t think the size you want right now is a B. You need to go with the size you want to be satisfied. That was the quote of the year for me. He scratched exactly where it itched... And his confidence... He told me to say all the questions I had from other clinics, and when I said I didn’t have any, he told me to write them down next time because when you talk to a doctor, your mind goes blank and you forget everything. He said to write down everything I want and everything I’m curious about, so sweet! And the director has 20 years of experience in breast surgery..
I booked right away today for November!!!!! My life of legwork and online research is over now.
After surgery, if I can write a surgery review, I’ll try ><
This got way too long. Let’s all get pretty breasts.
