I had surgery at a clinic in 2020, and I developed bottoming out and the implants kept shifting toward the center.. After agonizing over revision surgery, I finally did it.
I’m so grateful and honestly moved to have met a doctor like this. I’m sharing my review with everyone because if I don’t post it now, I think I’ll keep putting it off later too. I’m still recovering and trying not to use my arms,, so I’m writing roughly. Please understand.
Summary: I’ll just say it short and strong.. Don’t suffer trying to find a doctor like I did, just go here.. I went through so much emotional stress because of my first surgery. How could someone who calls themselves a doctor be so irresponsible?
Main text: First, since this sounds so much like a post praising one hospital, I’ll be honest in case there’s any misunderstanding. I’m starting work as a physician in the U.S.; before that, I was doing research and publishing papers. So when I was going around for revision consultations, I looked up doctors’ academic activities related to breasts and case reports about cases similar to mine before going. Only Director Park had a case report about a surgical method for a case like mine, and I really felt that he had studied breast surgery a lot.
Professionalism includes many things, but from a patient’s perspective, I think the main thing is a treatment philosophy that truly considers the patient. A hospital system that takes care of even very small things for the patient’s recovery and comfort is important, but many doctors in Gangnam seem to build systems for their own convenience.
I can’t say this place is perfect, but at least the doctor took care of even the small things so that the patient he operated on could recover well without problems.
After surgery: They prepared porridge for me to eat with my guardian. They also gave me medicine and topical medication, and the doctor personally called me in the evening to check my condition. On day 3 when I came in, they gave me an IV with vitamins and antibiotics.
They may be small things, and from the hospital’s perspective they may be bothersome, but each one helps with quickly recovering my condition and getting a good outcome.
Because one side of my rib cage is sunken, there was a lot to suture, so it hurts, and he said there is a possibility the bottoming out could recur and the shape may not be the best, but I’m grateful just that my nipples, which had been severely rotated upward and outward, have found their proper position.
