It’s been 10 years since I had surgery with the buried suture method, and the thread is exposed inside my eyelid, so I’m looking into getting it removed... I went back to the surgeon who operated on me to ask about the surgical method, but he said he used transparent thread so he can’t find it, and told me not to touch it unless I’m getting revision surgery lolololol. He said this was only the second case like this in his career as a doctor, and kind of acted like it wasn’t his responsibility. He barely even looked at my eye properly and said if I’m not getting revision surgery, I should go to an ophthalmologist... haha Anyway, the doctor who did the surgery said the thread can’t be removed.
I looked up ㄸㅋ, ㄱㄴㅅㅇ, and ㅇㅇㅅ online and had online consultations. ㄱㄴㅅㅇ said removal is possible even if it’s transparent thread. ㄸㅋ also said removal may be possible but told me to visit in person. ㅇㅇㅅ said removal is impossible because it’s transparent thread... They said it can be removed by making an incision during revision surgery...
If anyone has had threads removed or is looking into it, please share some info
