I visited a total of 4 places, but I left out the hospital where I decided to have surgery!! My parents wanted to come with me, but our schedules didn’t match, so I went alone. During the consultation with the director, I asked if it would be okay to record it. I listened to the consultant while taking notes! I’m getting revision rhinoplasty and want a natural-glam line. (Standards can differ, but I think Shin Se-kyung’s nose is glamorous, and because my face is round, I think harmony is the most important!)
1. OT (JYJ) There was one other person waiting besides me, but I barely waited, got a CT scan, and had the consultation with the director. I carefully asked if I could record, and he readily allowed it. (Consultation time: 11 minutes) He had a warm impression and was kind, so the consultation atmosphere was good. He took a photo of my side profile with an iPad, immediately drew the nose line, and explained the theoretical angles. Overall, I liked it! The price was also the cheapest among the four places I visited. There was also a cash discount. (low 4 million won range) Reason I didn’t choose this place: My nose is on the small side, but he said he could raise it up to twice as much and match any line I wanted. I was tempted by the director’s confidence, but first of all, it seemed more glamorous than the direction I wanted. (I don’t even want it up to twice as much, and my face wouldn’t suit thatㅠㅠ Safety is more important to me.) Maybe because I had just visited a hospital right before that said not all the lines I wanted were possible, I felt even more conflictedㅠ In the end, I gave up..!!
2. TYS (YSC) This place was a little more expensive than the budget I had in mind (low to mid 5 million won range if booking the same day). The director’s consultation felt a bit rushed, but the atmosphere was good, and he seemed to understand my needs. Communication was good, and he seemed to consider columella volume important. I got permission to record, and because there was a long wait at that time, I understood that he seemed a bit pressed for time. (Consultation time: about 16 minutes) Or he might just normally speak quickly... Reason I didn’t choose this place: My columella is retracted, so it needs to be brought out, but he also recommended cat surgery together. I didn’t get a detailed explanation about cat surgery, and when I looked it up afterward, it seemed to involve touching the philtrum, so I gave up on this place! I did spend the whole day debating whether to put down a deposit or notㅠㅠ
3. MYD (YYT) As soon as I went in for the consultation with the director and asked about recording, he refused. I thought he would explain while looking at the CT, but it felt like he only answered when I asked. I showed him the reason for revision surgery and the line I wanted (photos), and he immediately said it couldn’t be done. So we both ran out of things to say, and I came out. I checked the KakaoTalk messages I sent to my friend before and after going in, and the consultation was about 5 minutes. Reason I didn’t choose this place: Among the four places, three did not mention a hump to me, it wasn’t noticeable visually, and I had never heard that in my life, but suddenly he suggested shaving the bone, so first of all I couldn’t trust it. Also, the consultant seemed to adjust the price to match the budget I wanted, so I couldn’t trust that either. (Without explaining detailed itemized costs, she said, “Originally it’s ~, but with a discount it’s -,” without even using a calculator..) So that was the second reason I lost trust, and I’d never seen a hospital cut 3 million won with a discount..!! And it’s my face I’m entrusting to someone, so I can’t entrust it to someone who only looked at it for 5 minutes, right...?
