Before <Before surgery>Before <Before surgery>After <Week 1>After <Week 2>After <Month 1>After <Month 2>After <Month 3>After <Month 3>Hello :) Until just a few months ago, I was searching a lot for posts related to facial liposuction and referring to reviews, but now I’m the one leaving a review. hehe
It was a complex of mine, but I think I also worried a lot about different cosmetic procedures, like whether I should get a thread lift, get an injection-type procedure, or look into facial contouring surgery.
As I went around for consultations, I came across quite a few clinics where I thought, “They’re playing games with cosmetic surgery here.” When you talk to them... you can feel it, you know? I might not have noticed with just one or two places, but after getting consultations at three or four or more, you can tell they’re messing around lol Even if I could accept that the consultant has an eye for aesthetics, I filtered out places where the consultant was the one giving the surgical estimate^^
On day 1 after liposuction, honestly, I couldn’t feel a big difference in just one day (maybe that’s only natural..) And they said bruising could be severe, but on the day of surgery, the bruising was less than expected. From the side, the bruises were noticeable, but the color wasn’t that dark or muddy. But starting the next day, the bruise color gradually became more distinct.
Around one week in, I could see the bruises fading faster than I expected.. The surgical scars weren’t very noticeable either. I wore the compression band exactly until week 1, but they said I didn’t necessarily have to wear it all day, so I think I just wore it whenever I had time here and there (mostly while sleeping..)
By week 2, I felt the line under my chin had improved a lot, but it wasn’t that dramatic, so I was secretly disappointed..ㅠ Still, as the swelling slowly went down, they told me the results would become more visible if I kept watching the progress, so I waited with anticipation. Up until week 2, it didn’t show in photos, but the bruising and scars were very slightly visible.
At the one-month mark, I had makeup on, so it may look a bit more dramatic, but by then the bruising was gone and a lot of the fat under my chin had disappeared, so I can see the improvement. I think the main recovery period is about one month, or 2-3 weeks if it’s short.
When I compare the pre-surgery photos with the photos from month 2, I can really see how much cleaner my double chin became.
At month 3, I felt a little regretful because I have a slightly retruded chin, so I thought about getting filler or fat grafting there, but the director advised against it, so I didn’t. The area under my chin improved the most, and the areas where I saw a big effect were my cheekbones, my deep cheek area that reduced slightly, and above all, my jawline.. My face feels a little smaller, so I’m really satisfied.
They said that depending on the need or each person’s case, some people also do a thread lift or Ultherapy lifting together, but during my consultation, Accu seemed good, so I added that procedure.
One thing I want to say is that before facial liposuction, when you don’t have any information or know what’s accurate, instead of immediately thinking, “Oh, it must work better if I do a thread lift together,” and looking into them together, I think it’s better to get consultations at several places, compare them, and check whether lifting is really necessary for you too. And after that, it’s not too late to check what procedure you could combine it with to get better results :)
