I’m going around for consultations, and since I have signs of contraction, they said it seems to be because of rejection to the implant, so they recommended autologous rib cartilage or donated rib cartilage. They said both are good materials, but deep down it seems like they recommend autologous rib cartilage a bit more. But I also swim and tend to like being active... so autologous rib cartilage feels a bit scary, and I’m really worried about how long I should expect the recovery period to be. Has anyone with nasal contracture possibly had surgery with donated rib cartilage??
