Before before / after after after I had surgery on Tuesday morning the 21st, and now I'm on day 4!!
Because my breasts were very uneven, we decided to do 400cc on the right and 430cc on the left with Mentor Xtra Moderate High. I was going to do the armpit incision, but while drawing on the day of surgery, the inframammary fold difference was so severe that we changed to an inframammary incision. I didn't want a big empty “highway” between my breasts, so I also had fat grafting to the cleavage area and the parts of the breasts that were lacking, harvesting from my love handles that wouldn't go away even with dieting! Below, I'll just ramble a bit
I actually looked into the hospital more carefully after making the reservation, and the more I searched, the more I only found good reviews There was another hospital I was considering before consulting here. The doctor was nice and I really liked the reviews, but 1. the subtle distrust that comes from a large, factory-style hospital 2. the coordinator whose attitude completely changed when I said I wouldn't book that day 3. CCTV that they said could only be viewed with police accompaniment 4. the anesthesiologist who said they wouldn't enter the operating room together and would be watching from another floor (I wondered if they were watching several surgeries at once..) made me really hesitate to bookㅠㅠ For breasts especially, you have to go to the hospital often because of aftercare, so I couldn't decide easily..ㅠㅠ
The reviews here were so good, but I originally had no intention of doing fat grafting (quick recovery was important, and I was afraid it would just add costㅠㅠ), so before the consultation I kept worrying, what if they pressure me.. But when I actually went, 1. starting with the doctor, everyone was completely kind, and all the staff were so kind that I really thought the patient is treated like royalty? (When I think about it, we're paying and choosing among many hospitals, so isn't this how it should be!!) 2. no pressure at all, and the doctor and coordinator matched my needs as much as possible for my implants, size, incision method, etc. 3. CCTV that they told me, even before I asked, could be viewed in real time 4. the doctor only does 2 surgeries a day, and the anesthesiology director stays beside you throughout the surgery (I have an underlying condition and was very scared of general anesthesiaㅠㅠ) I really liked everything.. So I booked the same day and had surgery about 5 days later!
<Day of surgery> The hospital choice was all done, and even after booking I couldn't find a single bad review, so I slept really well and felt nothing until anesthesia started I suddenly opened my eyes wide at something like an alarm sound? I have a thyroid condition, so I was worried intubation might be irritating, but here they did it with a mask.. I saw many breast surgery reviews saying the throat hurt more than the breasts, but my throat was totally fine and it felt like there was a heavy rock on my chest ㅠㅠㅠ While I still wasn't fully awake from anesthesia, I shouted that it hurt, and the doctor and nurses all came, gave me painkillers, and after a while brought me water and pumpkin porridge Before going home, the doctor also came by and said the surgery went well and that we'd check progress again tomorrow, and the nurse taught me stretches and how to wear the upper band! After coming home, it kept feeling like a warm, big stone was placed on my chest, but it was more bearable than I expected.. I only woke up once while sleeping and was able to fall right back asleep.
<Post-op day 1> They say the morning after surgery is the hardest.. but I was surprised that I was more okay than expected. Maybe because it was an inframammary incision, but after doing the stretches they taught me, I could even stretch my arms up until they touched my ears.. I could brush my teeth by myself, wash my face by myself, tie my hair by myself, and do almost daily life, but getting up by myself after lying down... I couldn't, so I had a brief reality check... Anyway, I went to the hospital with my mom, and the doctor checked whether there were any symptoms of blood pooling. He said it might itch a little on day 2 because of the taping, so to bear with it, and that he would remove it on day 3. I received hyperbaric oxygen therapy (I lay down, slept so well, and came out), and Smart Lux. Mom said that before going to the hospital I walked very slowly and carefully, but after receiving care and coming out my steps were much lighter and faster. That day, after coming home, I took medicine and kept taking naps. At night, I woke up once in the middle, took Tylenol PM, and slept well again
<Post-op day 2> Wow.. I could just do all daily activities, and my chest just felt heavy~. I didn't have any itching from the taping at all!! But even originally, I worried about forward head posture or bad posture, so I always walked around engaging my core firmly, but without realizing it my shoulders kept rolling forwardㅠㅠㅠ I looked up YouTube videos, and there were stories of people going for massages because of neck and shoulder pain after breast surgery.. I got worried, so I consciously kept straightening my shoulders!!
<Post-op day 3> I woke up and felt totally better, but both shoulders still kept rolling forwardㅠㅠㅠ Later my shoulders and back hurt so muchㅠㅠ Anyway, I went to the hospital and received hyperbaric oxygen + Smart Lux like on day 1, and the doctor removed the tape, so I saw my bare breasts for the first time.. Wow, there wasn't even a bit of bruising and the shape was already insanely pretty.ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ Andㅋㅋㅋㅋ maybe because the size got bigger, the nipples.. became lighter in color, so the breasts looked even prettier..ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Then they taught me how to wear the compression garment, so I wore it, shopped a bit, came home, and slept deeply~
<Post-op day 4> Now there's no pain at all, and maybe because I'm engaging my core, the shoulder-rounding symptom is gone too Really.. I feel like after just a few months, I won't even remember my old breasts and will live thinking these are mine... They say I start Caps from day 7, so I'm really looking forward to it, and I know I shouldn't do this, but even now as I'm writing this review, I've been bending my upper body forward for over 30 minutes and there is no pain at all.. Doctor is the best...
