It was stressful that my nose drooped when I smiled, and recently I was bothered by the implant showing through, so I had revision surgery. I used autologous costal cartilage, and AlloDerm was used together, but because of the possibility that it may be absorbed, I’m still a bit concerned. But as I posted in the photos, there’s no feeling of absorption at all, and my nose came out slimmer than I expected, so my satisfaction is really high. As long as it really doesn’t get absorbed, this nose surgery was really successful? hehe Actually, because it’s autologous cartilage, the nasal tip is a bit firm, but since it was done with my own tissue, I think I do feel a bit less worried. For reference, you need to be careful with the area where the rib cartilage was harvested for 1 week, and even after that there is intermittent pain that makes you go “ugh,” but I think it got better faster than I expected. From what I’ve heard, if I just take good care of it in its current state, it won’t change much and will settle well, so that made me feel relieved. I don’t think autologous costal cartilage is as big of a surgery as I expected, so I hope people looking into it don’t worry too much!
