I had written it with so much emotion..ㅜㅜ Anyway, I’m writing it again now, and today I even had breast surgery done, so it’s a little tough, but the medication is still working, so it’s manageable haha (they inserted through the navel, so there’s no problem moving my arms at all)
First, I had my first nose surgery with silicone when I was 21, and because the bridge of my nose became crooked, after almost a year I had revision surgery at the same hospital. Both times were done with a closed approach, and the second time they used cartilage taken from my ear. Then, after 17 years, I had my third revision surgery. Honestly, my second nose was done outside Seoul too, so it wasn’t that pretty. Back then, cost-effectiveness was important, and I simply wanted the act of getting nose surgery itself, so I had no interest at all in the doctors’ surgical skills. That was truly a mistake. From the beginning, whether it was one million won or two million won more, I should have paid extra and met a proper doctor...ㅠㅠ Back then, my aunt said that place was good and the price was reasonable, so I didn’t even get consultations anywhere else. Anyway, the reason I got my third nose surgery was that the silicone implant had shifted slightly to the side, and my cartilage layered over the silicone had deviated by about 15 degrees, to the point that one area was almost showing through. At a glance, it looked like a surgically operated nose, but acquaintances told me the nasal tip felt a bit strange. Still, since I’m an ajumma almost turning forty the day after tomorrow, I was just going to live with it. But that deviated cartilage had become so white, like it was about to break through, and my nostrils were becoming more upturned day by day.. I don’t think it was like this for the first few years after surgery, but from some point, whenever I took photos, my nostrils showed so large and clearly, they were uneven, and the nasal dorsum was so thin that when I took photos, you could barely see my nose and only the nostrils showed. I have almost no selfies on my phone. I refused photos themselves. Do you know this feeling? ㅠㅠ After getting consultations here and there, my hunch was right, and if I had waited just a little longer, I might have ended up with a hole in my nose too.. Among the places I consulted, I had it done by the doctor I sincerely felt drawn to. Every doctor was different,, there was a 10-minute consultation with no proper explanation, basically saying it would go well so just make an appointment; I went to a hospital with many reviews on apps, and there was a wait, it just felt like a factory, and the consultation was insincere with a stiff tone ㅠ One private clinic recommended an expensive surgery.. I couldn’t go to many places, but thankfully I met a doctor who anonymously writes a blog series and felt like a truly skilled doctor with enormous revision surgery experience.. Anyway
After getting the stitches removed, I realized for the first time that one nose can change a face. When I saw celebrities’ before-and-after photos, I had rashly assumed it was because their original noses were already big and their base faces were good, but my nose, which had no presence, changed dramatically, and my impression changed a lot too. I took photos every 30 minutes a day, and my husband told me to stop taking so many.. haha Taking selfies makes me so happy.. It’s still very swollen, but I feel more confident in my face, and even if it’s not only because of my nose, the depressed feelings I’d had lately are changing in a positive direction.. It’s not a pretty face, but I’ll brag about my nose a bit.... There’s still swelling left and they say it will go down more, but I hope it doesn’t... haha
