Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

[Nose Revision / Long Post Warning] Please give me lots of adviceㅠ + 7 clinics visited in person …

<Consultation details and information>My surgery history: December 2021: philtrum reduction + nostril lowering (Megaderm) December 2022: nasal tip cartilage tying (Megaderm dermis) + alar lift My current nose condition is like the photos attached to my first post

-Current issues: both alae are attached unevenly and at a slant, both the shape and size of the nostrils are uneven, the columella is deviated, and the height of the nostril floor is asymmetric

✨Common opinion from all clinics: the uneven alae cannot be touched further right now.. They all asked which clinic did the surgery.. Everyone, please don’t casually touch the nostril base/alar areaㅠㅠ If it is really, really necessary, decide only at the very, very end ㅠㅠ✨

1) Kindness & warmth: Item/K-Plus/Goksaem > Cobijou >> JT/Hwi/First Button 2) Easy-to-understand explanations: Item/JT/Goksaem > Cobijou > K-Plus/First Button >>> Hwi 3) Understanding and reflecting my needs: Item > K-Plus/Hwi > Cobijou > First Button/JT/Goksaem 4) Surgical expectations (naturalness + safety + AS): Cobijou/Item

In my case, I wasn’t trying to make my nose higher. I needed a place that could handle the nostrils and nasal tip well, with lots of experience in cases similar to mine, and the two places that showed me the most surgical photos of cases similar to mine were Cobijou and Goksaem. But Cobijou answered that they would try to make it as pretty as possible, while Goksaem gave the complete opposite answer, telling me not to touch it anymore, so for about two weeks it was total chaos.. The problem is that both places really felt sincere..

The nostril lowering case photos that Dr. Gok Nak-su at Goksaem showed me were truly amazing. I really wanted to have surgery.. But Dr. Gok Nak-su said that even if I had come to him for my first surgery, he would not have operated on me.. (Actually, I was also turned down at Mint two years ago. They told me not to do it..) According to Dr. Gok Nak-su, unfortunately, my original natural nose was the best.. He gave me the longest consultation, and he tried to explain in as much detail as possible why it could not be done.. What was even more impressive was that when I was admiring the successful case photos, he said, “Do you think every surgery I do succeeds? I’m only showing you the well-done photos.” He said that even now, he could easily use photos to persuade me into surgery, but he does not do that... It was a consultation that moved me in many ways..

Cobijou was the first place I went for a consultation. After examining inside my nose and thoroughly feeling my nose, he listed off everything I needed one after another.. He was also the only person who even mentioned the issue with my nostril floor and said he would refine it.. It was the very first consultation I had, but I trusted them so much that I impulsively scheduled a surgery date on the same day. Until I heard from Dr. Gok Nak-su that I should not have surgery, I had been going to other consultations while feeling that I had done well to reserve Cobijou...

After my consultation with Dr. Gok Nak-su ended, I made a second appointment at Cobijou and went back this afternoon. Regarding the points Dr. Gok Nak-su mentioned, he said he had a different opinion, and that in his view, I am a case that can undergo surgery, and that there would at least be definite improvement compared with now. Also, when I asked what he thought about the parts for which other clinics had suggested different surgical methods, he looked at my nose more closely and added that he did not think those methods or materials would be necessary, explaining his own view. What I felt from two consultations with Director Hyun Sang-min is that, unlike Director Jung Woo-jin at Item, he is not the type who explains things extremely well in a way patients can easily understand. But he listens to everything the patient says, and he does not evaluate other clinics or other doctors, nor does he boast about his own skills at all. He only added one thing at the end. Would I not try trusting him once? He said that when he actually opens the nose on surgery day, he cannot know right now what obstacles may be inside, but once he opens it, he will not just do only what is possible and close it up saying that was the best he could do.. Once opened, even if the surgery time goes over, he will somehow create the best possible result.. Ha.. I came out crying because it reminded me of how my previous clinic handled things...

Honestly, if I decide on revision surgery, based only on the evaluations above it would be Item, but because Cobijou would also work on the nostril floor and I am pursuing a natural look, I was more drawn to Cobijou than Item, which has a more naturally glamorous feel..

(Oh, additionally, another director who made me cry during consultation was Director Kim Jin-woo at K-Plus.. He was truly so sweet.. ㅜㅜ Of course, Dr. Gok Nak-su at Goksaem was also so good ㅠㅠ)

I currently have about 36 hours left before surgery at Cobijou... I want to hear everyone’s opinions.. Since my first surgery, I have suffered so much emotionally, and even though I tried my best with online research and in-person consultations, this anxious feeling still will not go away.. That’s how it is.. If there is even anyone here who wants to stop me from having surgery like Dr. Gok Nak-su did, active interference is very welcome. Please don’t just pass by, and I ask for your valuable opinions!!

And I can share more detailed reviews of the 7 places I visited in person in the comments. Anyone who wants them, please leave a comment~
