There are nose photos and a list from my online research in my previous post, so anyone who wants can refer to it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <Summary for people in a hurry> Just... a low nose, that kind of nose Silicone for the nasal bridge, ear cartilage for the nasal tip 4 million KRW (VAT separate), but if done at the same time, 3.9 million KRW ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Clinic: ㅇㅈ (ㅇㅇㅈ) -Quiet and not many people -It was a brick building with yellow lighting, so it felt like a cafe
2. Consultation process: Fill out chart -> consultation with the director (about 20 minutes) -> consultation with the consultant (about 10 minutes, cost) 2-1. Consultation with the director -First impression: came in wearing surgical scrubs, sat across from me and explained while visually assessing my face -Personality: straightforward. Even though I had not said anything, he explained smoothly as if reading from a scenario after looking at it -Virtual simulation: took a photo with a tablet, stretched it with a pen, and compared before/after
2-2. Diagnosis and surgery 1) Short nose/upturned nose -The length does need to be extended. -The method for length extension would use septal extension or something like counter-rotation. -If the nasal bridge is raised, does it definitely become upturned? Not necessarily.
2) Low nasal bridge -Silicone 3 mm -My face is small, my features are small, and overall I have a compact look, so it should not be raised too high -The silicone starting point would probably suit the pupil line (<- just as I had thought!) -When I asked what kind of line would be good, he said a curved line makes the nose look short, so a straight line would extend the length and look natural -He did not ask me to bring photos
3) Nasal tip -It is slightly bulbous, but as it is raised, it should naturally come together -For the nasal tip, he mainly uses only ear cartilage -Because I have columellar retraction (the cartilage in the middle of the nostrils is tucked inward), the columella needs to be brought downward in a rounded way
4) Crooked nose? -When I said, “Other places said my nose is crooked?” he said, “Hmm, did I overlook that?” and turned on a flashlight to look inside my nose -It is minimal, and everyone has asymmetry. It does not really need to be corrected.
5) Other diagnosis -Surgery time is about 2 and a half hours -Open approach, sedation + local anesthesia surgery
3. Consultation with the consultant -She showed me photos of other patients -She confirmed that CCTV is installed everywhere, and guardians can check during surgery
3-1. Cost (VAT separate): 4 million KRW, and with VAT it would be 4.4 million? But they said they would cover the VAT, so 3.9 million -When I asked, “Why are you covering that...?” -Unlike overseas, Korea has some resistance toward VAT, so to reduce the patient’s burden, we cover it. It has nothing to do with cash payment or writing a review. If it were revision surgery, we could not give a discount, but since it is a first surgery and we thought it might be a burden for you... (?)
4. Aftercare -Visits on days 1, 4, and 7, total 3 visits -Swelling laser service -AS for 3 years (asymmetry, inflammation, etc.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A very simple consultation, less surgery than other places, and the cheapest quote I have received so far My preference is a natural-looking nose. Looking at the virtual simulation, it looked natural. But I did not think, “The shape is pretty...!”
