I've heard a lot about places where, after a consultation, the manager pressures you to pay a deposit. What exactly is a deposit? Is it something you absolutely have to pay? If I get a consultation, don't put down a deposit, go around for consultations at other places, and then want to go back to the place where I had the consultation to book surgery, can I just call them and schedule the surgery?
