I didn’t particularly dislike my natural nose, but I vaguely thought I would look prettier if my nose were a bit higher, so I went ahead with rhinoplasty without thinking much. As you can see in the photos, there wasn’t a very big difference before and after inserting the implant. I noticed this while organizing the photos, and I was shocked too that the difference had been so small. After rhinoplasty, my face didn’t look harmonious, so it felt very unnatural, and it felt like there was chalk implanted in my nose. From the front it looked similar to before surgery, but the side view was so strange, and the more photos I took, the more self-loathing I felt, so I decided to have surgery. I planned to have surgery in winter, so starting 3 months beforehand, I looked up reviews in a community, narrowed down candidates, and went to consultations at 5 places. Among them, I trusted the place that had many different before-and-after photos of nasal removal on its website, and the consultation with the director was also very good, so I chose that place. On the day of surgery, before going into surgery, I had to gargle a full cup of disinfectant solution, and it tasted terrible. I entered the operating room, had my face disinfected, had an IV placed in my left arm, and waited about 20-30 minutes. I fell asleep briefly and woke up, and each time the lights went off in between, I thought it was over, but then I felt the skin on the bridge of my nose being moved around again, and the surgery continued. Since I could only breathe through my mouth, I breathed hard, and my throat got very dry. I endured that endless-feeling time with the mindset that I was bearing 10-20 years’ worth of pain right now lololol. Finally the surgery ended, and at the end they pressed my nose firmly and steadily, but it hurt because it was being pressed for several minutes. The surgery took about an hour and a half. After surgery, I lay in the recovery room with a little ice pack over my eyes, then the director came to check my condition and left, and a staff member came and showed me photos from the surgery. They were photos showing the silicone, septal cartilage, donated costal cartilage, ear cartilage, capsule, and scar tissue that had been removed from my nose. They said quite a lot of capsule had formed, and there was also a lot of scar tissue. I was so relieved that everything had been removed cleanly. They told me to sleep at about a 45-degree angle and diligently do ice packs and warm compresses, so I did that. I think the bruising around my eyes lasted a bit long. I think it lasted about a month. Afterward, I was prescribed medication and took it for about 3 months. Looking at my nose now, it has recovered a lot, and the nasal tip feels slightly hard. I can do a slight pig nose now. One of the things I regret in my life was rhinoplasty, and my blackheads also got worse and I lived under stress, but after nasal removal surgery, even if it hasn’t returned completely to its original state, the fact that there is no foreign material in my nose is so, so, so comfortable and nice. Now I’m doing well and can even blow my nose. If anyone is considering nasal removal like I did, I really want to tell you to do it.
