Lately I've gotten out of the habit of looking first at my lower face when taking photos haha. I used to have pretty prominent deep cheek fat hanging down beside my mouth, so when I took a front-facing photo, the lower part of my face looked really heavy And because my nasolabial folds looked deep too, that was secretly causing me a lot of stress ^^ I had mini lifting and facial fat reduction with Dr. Kwon Juyong at ID, and as the swelling went down I understood why he had talked about doing the two together lol. As the deep cheek area got lifted upward, the heavy feeling in my cheeks went away too, so my face line looks lighter than before. For the first few days, the liposuction area felt a bit sore, and touching my face felt unfamiliar. After about a week, that discomfort had eased a lot, and from then on the line started to show little by little haha. Honestly, I had tried thread lifting a few times before, so at first I wondered if I should do thread lifting again this time too lol. But each time, the maintenance period became more disappointing, so this time I looked into a completely different method. During the consultation, they said my nasolabial folds were not just a simple wrinkle issue, but also looked deeper because the deep cheek fat had come down, and after the surgery I think I understand what that meant ^^ It feels less like the folds were erased entirely and more like the surrounding area was tidied up so they no longer stand out as much as before. I was also worried that lifting would pull my face too much toward the sides and change my impression, but that didn't happen haha. It just felt like the parts that had been sitting lower on my face found their place again?? Looking back, this is probably the biggest difference from thread lifting. Back then, what I felt most after the procedure was that my skin had become tight, but this time when I look in the mirror, my face line just looks more neat than before. Looking at old photos, I even wonder why so much cheek fat had gathered beside my mouth lol. These days I definitely check my nasolabial folds less by zooming in on photos ^^
