[Busan] Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty Consultation Review

There is relatively little information about Busan, so we went around in person and chose clinics based on people around us. So these may be clinics with no information online. It was surgery my mom would be getting, so I just went along for the consultations.

1. JSM Plastic Surgery

Clinic across from Lotte Department Store They said they would do upper blepharoplasty, lower blepharoplasty, under-eye fat repositioning, and lifting together while doing the lower blepharoplasty. They said all of them could be done in one surgery.

When I first made the consultation appointment, they said I could consult with the doctor, so I went, but when we got there, the doctor was in surgery, so we consulted with the consultant.

We visited again and consulted with the doctor too. The consultation content was similar, but the doctor explained it in more detail.

I was worried about ectropion among the side effects of lower blepharoplasty, so I asked at each clinic. When I asked, they said it could turn outward slightly. They said if it feels tight right after surgery, that can happen, but it improves.

For anesthesia, it seemed like they provide sedation when giving the anesthetic injection. They said it was some kind of spring event, and the total was 2.5 million won.

2. OHS Plastic Surgery

This place was not from asking around, but one I found online. It seemed famous for eye surgery, so I went to check it out.

Here, you cannot make a consultation reservation in advance by phone. They just register consultations in the order people arrive.

But here, from the start, you cannot consult with the doctor, and can only consult with the consultant. They said if you schedule a surgery date, you consult with the doctor then.

Even if you want both upper and lower blepharoplasty, they said they do not do them in one surgery. They said whichever one you do first, they do them 3 months apart.

Apparently they used to do them together too, but satisfaction was higher when doing them 3 months apart.

I asked about ectropion, and the consultant said their clinic has never had that happen, and told us not to worry about ectropion.

Upper and lower were 2.5 million won and 2.8 million won respectively, excluding VAT.

It was more than twice as expensive as other places..

3. BYR Plastic Surgery

This place is right near Hyundai Department Store. There is almost no information online.

Here, it seems you only consult with the doctor from the start. When I asked questions, the doctor said no to things that could not be done, and said yes to things that could be done.

They explained in detail that after upper blepharoplasty, some people have thick-looking eyelids, and that the reason is because the thin, sagging eyelid skin is cut away, and the double eyelid is remade with the relatively thicker upper eyelid skin above it, so some people end up looking puffy.

But in our case, they said my mom's eyelids are thin, so even if they incise the eyelid and create a double eyelid, it would not become puffy.

Regarding lower blepharoplasty ectropion, they said it already looks like it is about to turn outward slightly even now, so they do not think an incision should be done, and they would only reposition the fat underneath. They said the slight fine, crepey wrinkles under the eyes are something that needs to be addressed with Botox or various skin-tightening procedures.

This place was also around 2.5 million won. They said the surgery would be done all at once.

But it seems they use local anesthesia.

The end I hope this helps everyone in Busan who has parents interested in plastic surgery!!
