It’s been over 4 years since the surgery, so I don’t remember the doctor’s name.. But even after more than 4 years, I’ve never had bending or inflammation or anything like that. Right after surgery, the rib area felt stiff and painful, like a muscle cramp, though it depends on the person. But I think autologous costal cartilage lasts longer and is better than ear cartilage or donated rib cartilage. It really seems worth the high price. You’ll have to get nose revision surgery eventually anyway, but if you’re going to do it, I think it’s better to have it stay pretty for a long, long time
