I felt bad here for some reason A few hospitals were like this, but anyway, it felt a bit off The coordinator's consultation wasn't very long, and the doctor's consultation was the longest ever, very detailed, and not full of useless talk but all the important points They took a CT and interpreted it, explaining what kind of nose I have and all that No, they even measured the skin length on my nasal bridgeusually people are 3 mm, but mine was 1.5 mm, so they said it's thin and silicone might show through and be bad And among 8 hospitals, this was the first one to say I need functional rhinoplasty They said right now my nose is short and upturned, so breathing is okay, but after surgery it would become significantly uncomfortable...but on the CT image, one side of the nose seemed attached, so it doesn't seem like simple overtreatment(though seeing this made me trust hospitals that don't take CT less... if people end up having trouble breathing after surgery, that would be a problem...) Anyway, they explained all of this while measuring the length on very objective photos of my nose, and I felt like they prioritized safety They were against alar reduction. In my case, the nasal bridge skin is thin and the alar skin is thick, so scars could become large And here too they said to use autologous rib cartilage(they said donor rib cartilage isn't allowed) But if autologous rib cartilage feels too burdensome, they could use the septum instead, but then the satisfaction would be lower So they drew the nose line for both cases on the computer, one using the septum and one using autologous rib cartilage At that point I really started seriously wondering whether I truly have to use autologous rib cartilage... I was honestly convinced by the data, not just the words, and I still feel that way now Also, even though my nose is short, I had some resistance to columella lengthening. I didn't like the visual effect of that columella lengthening But this was the hospital that pointed that out clearly They explained why it becomes an M shape and said the upper part of the nostrils needs to be filled in a bit with cartilage -Here, septum surgery would be 3.3 million won + 1.2 million won for functional rhinoplasty -Using autologous rib cartilage would be 4.8 million won + 1.2 million won(I saw an all-time high price)

For my first surgery, do I really need autologous rib cartilage? Or would septum alone be enough? I'm agonizing over this so much, and I don't want a revision surgery If I only use the septum, will everything melt away after a few years?
