The prices for my first nose surgery are similar at both places, and my nose is a short nose, upturned nose, and small, wide nose. For materials, they said donated costal cartilage + septal cartilage + possibly ear cartilage + silicone for the nasal bridge, 3-4 mm. Thinking this would be the last time, I consulted three places, and these are two of them. I put down reservation deposits, but it still bothers me, so I haven’t decidedㅠ I need everyone’s opinions.
1. ㄱㄴ - ㅊㄱㅇ
I happened to see review photos, thought they were pretty, and liked this place. The clinic was clean and spacious, and the consultant was kind (she keeps KakaoTalking me separately too).
The director consultation was about 15-20 minutes and he explained things well. While drawing the expected nose on my photo, he calmly said exactly what I wanted.
About 12 years of experience. He looked young, but maybe mid-to-late 30s to early 40s?
He specializes in noses and revision rhinoplasty, and seems famous for making noses glamorous and slim. There seem to be over a thousand reviews too.
But while searching reviews, I saw a few people saying their nose became crooked, and I saw a review saying they asked for after-service correction but it became crooked again, so I suddenly got scared. I also saw someone say the shape is pretty, but you have to accept uneven nostrils.
Still, there are quite a lot of good reviews, and the nose shapes are pretty, so I keep thinking about it and it stays on my mind. The consultant also told me not to worry and seemed proud of the director, and it seems nice that I can keep asking questions by chat after surgery too. Also, an anesthesiology director is on-site, CCTV viewing is possible, that kind of thing?
2. ㅇㅇ - ㅈㅅㄹ
I went because this clinic is supposedly famous for noses these days, and I suddenly felt drawn to a review I saw there, so I asked to consult with Director ㅈㅅㄹ (a director who moved to this clinic only 5 months ago).
Similar to Director 1, about 12 years of experience, and the age range also looked similar. He seemed meticulous, smart, and well-spoken.
Looking at the CT, he said there was some deviation inside my nose and explained how he would go about the surgical method (I didn’t really understand it well. Also, it was something clinic 1 didn’t mention).
I liked that he explained the surgical method well and said he would make sure the nose doesn’t become crooked and doesn’t get blocked.
But there are only a few nose surgery reviews, and there’s no mention on other sites or cafes that he performed nose surgery. It seems like he hasn’t been doing nose surgery for that long.
Apparently at his previous clinic he specialized in eye surgery and mainly did fat grafting or other petit cosmetic procedures... That bothered me a bit.
After surgery, he consulted with me for about 25 minutes. The way he spoke clearly and said there would definitely be change, and the surgical method, gave me trust, but the clinic consultant seemed uninterested in me, pressured me for the reservation deposit, and when I asked by phone, what if side effects happen, she said there’s no way side effects would happen and kept sighing heavily. So I feel like for aftercare or if I ask something later, I’ll be treated coldly. No anesthesiologist, and I don’t know about CCTV?
I’m torn between the two. What should I do? If you happen to know which clinic or which director this is, please tell me if you’ve heard anything around you…
