I had my first surgery in Seoul, but now I live outside Seoul, so I'll post reviews from the provinces. Last year in Seoul, I went to ㅎㄴㅂ, ㄷㅇㅇ, and ㅈㅇㅈ, but I couldn't find the place I wanted.
When I had my first surgery, I didn't know anything and asked the plastic surgeon to do rhinitis surgery too. I was young then, so I thought all doctors could do every surgery. Since they were doing rhinoplasty, I thought of course they would also do rhinitis surgery. But they said they couldn't. I felt really disappointed at the time. I even had the foolish thought that maybe I had chosen the wrong hospital. I was completely clueless and couldn't distinguish between plastic surgery and ENT. But these days, there is functional rhinoplasty too. Sometimes I think about just having the silicone removed, but on the other hand, I keep thinking: if I get revision surgery, it absolutely has to be functional rhinoplasty! I originally had rhinitis, so after surgery my nose became even more sensitive to inflammation. Even if I pick my nose just a little, my immune system acts up and my lymph nodes swell lol
So I'm looking for a place where a plastic surgeon and an ENT doctor operate together for functional rhinoplasty. Even if I go to Gangnam in Seoul, it seems either the ENT doctor does the whole surgery or the plastic surgeon does the whole surgery. They said they don't do it separately. When I call, they make it sound like they can do everything, but once I actually go, they say I have to choose only one doctor.
Busan
ㄷㅇㅇㅊ I had a functional rhinoplasty consultation, and the director seemed very confident. The hospital seemed to do a lot of different things. The aftercare also looked good, but in conclusion, it didn't seem like the ENT director would be doing the surgery.
ㄴㄹㅇ I went there full of hope, thinking the ENT director was at the hospital and would be doing surgery. Maybe it was just the day I went, but the director wasn't there. Even after consulting with the plastic surgery director, I just wasn't really sure.
Gimhae
ㄱㄴㄷㅌㅇ Apparently this hospital is famous for revision eye surgery, and I only found that out after going. If they're famous, they must be good at everything, I guess. Before going, I couldn't find reviews to look up, but when I went, there were a lot. It kind of made me think this place might be the real deal. Anyway, here the ENT director does the surgery, and the plastic surgery director also does surgery. For now, I found the kind of place I wanted. The ENT doctor told me to go to another hospital and get a CT scan, so I went right away and got one. When I brought it back, they explained why I couldn't breathe well, why my nose kept getting blocked, and why it hurt. Anyway, I'm keeping this place on my list.
I'm totally just looking for validation, right? I just hope this helps as information for people like me who currently have multiple complex issues and want information. Anyway, I'm still thinking about it now... Because I'm scared lololol ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ
