First, I filled out a chart with what I wanted to discuss, waited, and then went in for the consultation with the director. In other consultation reviews, I saw a lot of negative comments saying the director speaks informally and is overly confident, but I didn’t feel that at all. She looked at my CT scan and chart and explained that certain things couldn’t be done for these reasons, and instead showed me in 3D what kind of shape might be possible. She also explained the surgical method in detail, so it was easy to understand. My nose is really low, small, spread out, and upturned.. What I want is improvement in shape. I don’t need it to be higher; I just want the shape to become slimmer, so I gave IU and Jennie as examples. So for me, I was quoted for: Dissolving filler (I dissolved my nose filler, but there’s still some left...) Silicone implant for the nasal bridge (I didn’t ask how many mm. There’s an extra cost if using a custom implant) Raising the nasal tip (lengthening the nose using ear cartilage) Hump correction (she said she would shave it down because the cartilage height differs on the right and left sides, so the silicone could shift when inserted) Osteotomy in the operating room if needed (she said it probably wouldn’t be necessary) That’s the estimate I got, and the total was in the mid-5 million won range..
First of all, I live outside Seoul, but I had a huge distrust of local clinics.. So I went for the consultation just to find out what my nose was like, thinking I absolutely wouldn’t have surgery at a local clinic. But the director here explained everything in a very detailed and easy-to-understand way, so I came to trust her. She showed me in 3D that this kind of look would be possible, and also showed me before-and-after photos of cases similar to mine and explained the surgical method. Because my nose is quite upturned, the tip needs to be lowered, and she showed me photos of lowering the nasal tip using ear cartilage while explaining how the surgery is done. I asked whether it would be well fixed if done with ear cartilage, and she said there are hard materials like septal cartilage, autologous costal cartilage, and donated costal cartilage, but if a support strut is built with those materials, the nose becomes very hard. But she said my septal cartilage itself is small, and costal cartilage is originally curved, so it may gradually warp. She said that because my ears are small too, she would have to use even the inner part of the ear cartilage lol.. She said she would try to prevent the ear shape from changing as much as possible, and since the shapes of my two ears are different, after surgery one ear may actually go in slightly and become more similar lolololol. The director seemed confident and specialized in operating with ear cartilage, so I kind of ended up thinking, I see. While waiting, I looked at the booklet next to me, and among the before-and-after photos, even people with short noses like mine had the nasal tip lowered beautifully, so that also helped me trust her.
It was my first clinic visit, so I went in really nervous, but there wasn’t really a need to be that nervous.. lololololol Maybe because I was too nervous, there were a few things I didn’t ask.. I’ll consult with other clinics too, and if I end up leaning toward this place, I’ll go back for another consultation! But just like other reviews said, the cost definitely bothers me a bit.. Since it’s my first surgery, the mid-5 million won range feels pretty expensive. Anyway, that’s the end of my review..! If you’re curious about anything, leave a comment!! This was the first time I found out that my cartilage is spread out like this, that the heights on both sides are different, and that the highest part of my nose is higher than the nasal tip..
