Before Before Before After After After Hello, I’m someone who had two types of facial contouring surgery (square jaw, cheekbones) with Dr. Kwon Jae-hyun at Soda Plastic Surgery 2 months ago!!
First, the reason I had surgery was that on my father’s side, the bone structure (facial contour) itself is masculine, with square jaws and a rugged look, and on my mother’s side, faces have a lot of facial fat and are round. When those two combined, I just had a face shape that was completely fat-heavy, big, and squareㅠㅠ So it had been a complex since elementary school, and I had promised myself I would definitely get surgery once I became an adult.
I tried to do it when I was twenty, but something came up and I couldn’t. This year, I was really determined to do it no matter what, so I looked into hospitals. I wanted to do it in late January to early February so that most of the swelling would go down before the university semester started, but many hospitals were already fully booked then.. In the meantime, Soda Plastic Surgery must have recognized how desperate I was, because they made me a same-day consultation appointment..?!(Usually, same-day consultations almost never happen.) So I ran there right away and had the consultation, but because it was a same-day appointment, I waited really longㅠㅠ Just when I was almost exhausted, I met the director for the consultation, and the director was so likable, gentle, kind, and meticulous!!!!!! I had planned to go to consultations at all the other hospitals and then decide where to have surgery, but I just consulted at the first hospital, Soda Plastic Surgery, that same day and immediately set a date and bookedㅋㅋ.. I liked that they didn’t push excessive treatment or recommend other surgeries unnecessarily!!
To briefly write about the 2 months after surgery:
Day of surgery - The 4 hours after surgery were so hard. It was painful at dawn. Day 1 - I kept waking up while sleeping. My throat hurt and the phlegm was no joke. Day 2 - I definitely woke up less while sleeping, but the phlegm was no joke. (Started walking from day 2.) Day 3 - Went to the hospital, got a CT scan and care. Condition was good. Day 4 - Yellow bruising and runny nose got worse. Day 7 - Got radiofrequency care and had the stitches inside the mouth and at the cheekbones removed. Day 8 - My voice finally started to sound somewhat normal. (From day 8, I got lazy and stopped walking.) Week 3 - Bruising almost disappeared (swelling was no joke). 1 month - There was still a lot of swelling, but it just looked like cheek fat. 2 months - A lot of swelling has really gone down, and my face got smaller.
I was a case where the swelling went down really slowly..ㅜ Of course, I think it may also be because I barely used warm compresses and only walked for a few days casually.. For food, I only ate things like porridge at first, and from week 2? I think I just ate everything I wanted. I didn’t get stressed about eating! For swelling care, I drank pumpkin juice and took swelling medicine sold at the pharmacy to reduce itㅎㅎ
My satisfaction after surgery is really.. impossible to express in words.. Since it had been a complex since I was very young and I had been planning to have surgery, even right after surgery, rather than thinking “It hurts so much, I shouldn’t have done it,” I was so happy thinking that now I wouldn’t have to wear a chin mask, wouldn’t have to be busy covering my face with my hair whenever the wind blew, could tie my hair up when it was hot, and could do a bun, bangs, and a half-up styleㅠ The hospital was really clean too, and the four aftercare sessions helped a lot! Each care session seemed to help a lot with the swelling.
As I wrote, it got really long, maybe because my satisfaction with the surgery is so highㅋㅋ.. Now, 2 months after surgery!! I’m really enjoying such a happy university life, and nobody knows I had surgery!!! They say swelling from facial contouring gradually goes down up to 1 year, so I’m expecting it to go down more!! But even now I’m completely super satisfied, and my life is divided into before and after facial contouring surgery. I’m truly so happy and satisfied!!
