Sharing a raw facial contouring surgery review ~Day 6

Before <extreme overlip> I was fine back in high school My face shape was also a slim oval, with a soft-looking lower face But after becoming an adult and getting older, my lower face started to develop When I look at my dad’s side of the family, starting with my dad, everyone has a developed lower face, so I felt, “Yep, blood really is thicker than water” (my dad’s lower face looks like baseball player Park Chan-ho’s) I also had orthodontic treatment, but after a few years I eventually thought surgery was the only answer, so I had been thinking about it since last year and got the surgery this April 4

-Day of surgery I went in by 9:30 and had it around 10:20 When I had eye and nose surgery, it did nooooooot hurt at all so I was proud of myself for having a natural talent for tolerating pain, and I thought this surgery would be easy too (I had also seen reviews saying it did not hurt) I think it was past 1 when the surgery ended Wow..... damn, I almost regretted having the surgery My lips felt like they were about to split and my jaw hurt, but what drove me the craziest was my throat hurt so much. Because of the general anesthesia, a tube had been placed in my airway and after it was removed, it hurt so much whenever I swallowed saliva that I was going crazy. I could barely swallow saliva either, and that day I stayed up all night with my eyes open

(When I looked up the reviews again, only a few posts I had seen said there was no pain; most of the other posts said there was pain;;)

Day 1

Around 9:30 I saw the director, complained to the consultant that it hurt too much, and was discharged at 12 When I got home, my jaw opened better than I expected and my chewing strength seemed okay so I got excited thinking, “lol today tteokbokki shops’ sales are gonna shoot way up,” and tried to eat tteokbokki, but my mouth would not open wide enough for the rice cakes... Even when I forced them in, I had no idea rice cakes were this elastic.... They were pushing my teeth away! So I just picked at the fish cakes, drank one pumpkin juice, and called it a day

Day 2

To talk about everything from day 2 through today, day 5, together It could just be my imagination, but from day 2 I could see the swelling going down I was like, what is this? Because actually, as soon as I got home I took off the compression band, slept without wearing it that night, and on day 2 I also kept taking the compression band off and putting it back on The hospital told me not to take it off all week except for meals or showers, but it was so uncomfortable that I took it off The reasons I took it off so recklessly were that the compression band’s purpose was not to prevent sagging, but to prevent swelling and bleeding and that each hospital has different instructions about compression bands For those reasons, I took the compression band off Honestly, I think it is right to wear the compression band until days 3 to 5. It is not because of swelling, but because if bleeding happens it is a serious problem, so unless there is a good reason, I think it is better to wear it But after that, I think you do not have to wear the compression band except when sleeping. It depends on the person, but for me, even when I took the compression band off, the swelling still went down well So with the compression band, I think you can look at your own situation and take it off once in a while if it is too uncomfortable

-Summary- 1. Be careful with facial contouring surgery. Facial contouring surgery hurts more than you might think 2. Wear the compression band for about 3 to 5 days, and after that, be flexible by wearing it only while sleeping, etc. (You know wearing it for too long is not good either, right?)
