4. Surgery/consultation review (please write freely^^)
: "The director is the best. If you're getting contouring, do it here, everyone!"
I was so grateful to the director that I wanted to repay that kindness with a sparkling, beautiful result and an amazing review.. But thanks to how well the surgery was done(?), I didn’t have any pain or discomfort at all, so I ended up with absolutely none of the diet effect I was expecting, and only gained weight instead.. Sorry, director Ha.. please forgive me..
To get straight to the point, the things that mattered most to me when choosing a clinic were:
1. The director’s surgical skill and experience
I had a complex about my chin since childhood, but the reason I waited until my thirties was that surgery is such a big and risky procedure. I wanted to be operated on by a doctor who had specialized in contouring for a long time.
2. Safety
It was also essential that an anesthesiologist was on site and that CCTV footage could be disclosed!
3. Consultation with the director
The manager is important too, but honestly, I was the type of person who cared more about consulting with the director. I’m not sure if I should write this here, but the clinics I personally consulted were the ones I remember now as.. ㅌㅇㅇ, ㅁㅇㄷㅇ, ㅂㄹㅇ, ㄴㅌ. At the time I looked into them, they were all well-known places in their own right, and each had pros and cons. I remember all of the directors being confident about surgery. The consultations were good, but the reason I ended up choosing that clinic was that the director’s consultation was the best. As some of you may already know, he has you draw the desired line directly on the monitor with a marker, shows a rough post-surgery look with Photoshop, and actively communicates with the patient throughout the consultation. He is also extremely thorough, and even very kind, you know? Haa.. kind of like Winnie the Pooh a little. And he never recommends excessive surgery! That was the decisive point for me. The surgical direction suited me well (everyone’s standards of beauty are different, of course.. but I wanted to look prettier without harming my health. For reference, the director only recommended the chin, and I was planning that too, but right before surgery I thought, since I’m already here, why not(?) add the cheekbones as well.)
4. Post-op episode (Subtitle: The super-sweet Director Kim Tak-ho & the nurses)
I still feel like I’m not fully able to express how I feel, so to talk a bit more about the director and the post-op episode separately: right after surgery, when I was brought into the private room and sat down, I didn’t really have much pain or anything like that, but I was unbelievably sleepy. I think it was probably because I was too tense to sleep the night before, and also because of the anesthesia.. I guess you’re not supposed to sleep at that point. The nurses and the director kept coming in almost every minute in turn and trying their best to keep me awake, and even though I really put up a sleepy fuss, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the director and the nurses for kindly putting up with me. Also at a post-op checkup? One side of my chin had some pus-like stuff collecting, and the director squeezed it out for me. Even then, before he even started, I got scared and looked like I was about to resist, and the director said he’d hold my hand, or maybe said I could bite his hand.. I think he probably said it was okay to hold my hand? Anyway, thanks to the unique, almost pediatric-ward-like atmosphere from the director and the nurses, we managed to get the pus out safely and I walked out with tears out too. Hmm.. Also, when I was practicing opening my jaw, it hurt way more than I expected (he’d suddenly shove his fingers in, shh shh), and just as I was about to get angry from feeling betrayed, he immediately grabbed my hand. Now that I’ve written it all out, maybe I’m the problem. Still, I remember such overflowing kindness. Thank you again, director^0^!!
