I went around to consultations today. I went around the Gangnam area from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and honestly it drained all my energy. I don’t think I could ever do this again..
1. ㅇㅁㄹ / Director ㄷㅇㄹ
This was the first clinic I went to at 10 a.m. Since I went right when they opened, it was quiet. I did see quite a lot of Chinese patients. The consultation went in the order of consultant -> doctor -> consultant. The consultant was very kind! I said I wanted a slightly semi-out line, and they held several lines according to that. They recommended natural adhesion + upper epicanthoplasty, and they were very confident. They boasted that my eyes would be harder to mess up, and that no matter how badly it went, at least the line they marked with a toothpick would come out. The doctor spoke very casually and confidently, so I was a little taken aback but also drawn in. Bad-boy style? During the final consultation with the consultant, we discussed the price. They offered 2 swelling laser sessions as a service.
There was talk about a deposit, but when I said that since it involved my face I wanted to be careful, they nodded and accepted it. They said 90% of the deposit would be refunded.. A/S period: 1 year They gave me a copy of the consultation sheet. Consultation fee: none

The consultant kept speaking a bit casually, so I didn’t really like that, but the doctor was kind. Here too, the consultation went consultant, doctor, consultant.
The doctor explained in detail while drawing things out. The doctor was kind, but I didn’t like how they held the line, so I just passed. They recommended incision + ptosis correction + fat grafting + medial epicanthoplasty. I was a little surprised because they recommended a much more varied and major surgery than I expected. They said I don’t have fat around my eyes, so later when I get tired or age, overlapping folds may form above the double eyelid, and suggested doing an incision and fat grafting from the start. They said if I do fat grafting, I can’t do swelling laser. They said fat needs to avoid stress to engraft well, but laser stresses it so it won’t engraft. A/S period: 1 year They wrote the consultation details on a business card. Consultation fee: none But the consultant was somewhat pushy about the deposit.
3. ㄴㅅㅎ / Director ㄱㅈㅎ
It was the biggest and quietest clinic among the ones I visited. The consultation went consultant, doctor, consultant. The consultant used honorific speech that slightly felt casual, but was kind. The doctor was very calm and kind. The doctor said the semi-out line I wanted would be difficult and recommended an in-out line. They said it would be possible with non-incisional surgery too, and that fat grafting was not necessary. They did say that if I wanted to prevent hollowing of the eyelids that can happen with age, I could do fat grafting, but they did not particularly recommend it. Non-incisional surgery + medial/upper epicanthoplasty + (ptosis correction if needed) They said ptosis correction could be done or not done. It felt more like they would do what the patient wanted rather than forcing surgery. It felt like, “If you don’t want to do it, you don’t have to,” so I was able to consult comfortably.
A/S period: 3 years Swelling injection and 3 laser sessions provided as a service Non-incisional surgery + upper epicanthoplasty price: 1.03 million won. If doing ptosis correction, an additional 330,000 won.
There was no pressure about the deposit, and unlike other clinics, they told me that the deposit is 100% refundable up to 5 days before surgery.
4. ㅌㅌㅇ / Director ㅈㅇㅈ
I made a reservation because I trusted that there was only one doctor. The waiting time was ridiculously long. I think I waited alone in the consultation room for about 20 minutes. The doctor seemed confident about surgery. They recommended non-incisional surgery + upper epicanthoplasty + ptosis correction + fat grafting. They said fat grafting was absolutely necessary. Otherwise, later only the line would remain and the fat covering the double eyelid would disappear, they said. The consultant pressured me about the deposit, and when I said it would be hard to make a same-day reservation, they said my eyes are easy to mess up, and told me not to go somewhere inexperienced but to have surgery here. —————————————————————
This is the information from the consultations I went to today, and I was surprised because fat grafting, which I hadn’t thought about at all, came up.
What I’m curious about is,
@Do I need fat grafting? If there are side effects of fat grafting, please let me know.
@If anyone has had upper epicanthoplasty or medial/upper epicanthoplasty, please tell me how it was ㅠㅠ
@I still have a few consultation appointments left, but which clinic seems good?
