Last week, I went around to three places for consultations. It was my first surgery and my first time consultation-shopping, so I was really nervous, but I think it went more smoothly than I expected,, lololol
1. Director ㄱㅈㅇ at ㅋㅇㅍㄹㅅ I went around 11, and since it was my very first consultation, I was nervous, but everyone just treated me normally and kindly. Once I went in, maybe because it’s in the Cheongdam area, there were some older clients there, so somehow it felt more trustworthy than if it had only young customers?? lololol I guess I should say that? Anyway, my first impression was okay. They seemed to use an entire building, but once I actually went inside, it didn’t feel like a huge hospital. The wait was about 10 minutes? Almost none, and without taking photos, I went straight into the consultation room. The consultant only checked what surgery I was planning to have, and then the director immediately started the consultation himself. The director had a very straightforward style, and he talked about incisional-free double eyelid surgery lightly, saying it isn’t that big of a surgery. And that’s actually true too.. yeah. He held the line with something like a toothpick and showed me well how far it would be good to go. I had brought a printed list of questions in advance and was fumbling with it, so he said I could just give it to him and he would read it and answer them himself lolololololol It was funny. I was worried they might pressure me into ptosis correction or canthoplasty, but he said I didn’t need ptosis correction. He did recommend canthoplasty, but when I said I wouldn’t do it, he didn’t push any further. After the director’s consultation ended, the consultant came back in and I asked about the price. It was cheaper than I expected, and more than anything, I liked that there wasn’t any petty stuff like discounts in exchange for some review event or whatever.
2. Director ㄱㅎㅅ at ㄸㅋ I went in the early afternoon, and the wait here wasn’t that long either.. Compared with the place before, it definitely felt more like a large hospital. There were a lot of young people and quite a few foreigners too. (The consultants were so pretty.... hehe They took photos first, then I had a consultation with the consultant, and then the director came in for the consultation. Maybe because he’s famous, he did feel the most professional... lololol ㅜ There was a separate tool for holding the line, and like in other reviews, he showed me line 1, line 2, line 3, and so on very clearly, so it did feel the most trustworthy. I think this place was the best at showing the lines. Here too, there was no pressure for ptosis correction or canthoplasty. They did say it would be better if I did canthoplasty. But what was disappointing was the review event.. The price difference between participating in the event and not participating was too big ㅜㅜㅜ They said I’d have to come back to take photos again, but my home is pretty far away, so no matter how I think about it, it seems annoying... so I’m hesitating. And the price was also more expensive than I expected. Maybe because he’s famous,,
3. Director ㄱㄷㅎ at ㄴㅅㅎ This was the most disappointing of the three.. The first two places were just fine, so I had gained a little confidence?? lololol But this was kind of the plastic surgeon style I had been worried I might meet,,,, ㅜ First, when I went, the wait was 50 minutes? I think I waited almost an hour. I understand it was because surgery hadn’t finished, but the wait was just too long.. Maybe because the director came straight from surgery, he looked so exhausted, and when dealing with me, he seemed tired? I think he kind of showed that. And no one at the first two places said anything like this, but he started laying the groundwork, saying my face is asymmetrical, my eyes have severe imbalance, so the result I want might not come out, things like that, so I was kind of, um...? lolololol And this was the only place where canthoplasty and ptosis correction felt like they were being subtly bundled in as upsells. He spoke as if canthoplasty was obviously necessary, so when I said I wouldn’t do it, he did say okay for now, but later when I looked at the estimate, ptosis correction was included as if it were a given lolol ㅜ I don’t plan to do ptosis correction either... But by then, during the consultation, I had already lost interest in doing it here, so I just didn’t say anything lolololololololol Anyway, the director felt like he had pretty strong personal opinions~
Done, that was tiring ㅜ For now, I booked with ㅋㅇㅍㄹㅅ
