The consultation was good, but the surgery result was really bad.. During the consultation, they listened to all the reasons why I wanted a revision and carefully laid out a plan for how to solve it this way and that, so I went ahead with the surgery even though there were no reviews. But after the surgery, they were high-handed, and throughout the follow-up they kept avoiding the problems. They do say they’ll do aftercare at the end, but you need to be able to trust the surgical skill before you can accept aftercare.. Everything they said they would do in the consultation failed, and instead my eyes became uglier than before. The front line is slanted, and the eye has fully become a triangle with the apex slightly shifted outward. The asymmetry they said they would fix even before I brought it up got even worse. At the inner front part of the line, I was told at other clinics that either the line was made strangely or the adhesion might have gone wrong, but the front line is not a smooth single line and is broken. Of course the front part of the line looks even bigger too. They spent such a long time on the surgery and design, and yet I can’t believe this is all that came out. They said everything would be fine during the consultation, but now that the result is like this, I’m stunned. And the ratio of people who need aftercare or revision after surgery is extremely high. It feels like if you get surgery here, ectropion appears. I asked around and talked with people I connected with through this community, and everyone experienced ectropion. In my case, it was open by about 5 mm, and now, 7 months later, it’s still slightly open by less than 1 mm. If I did aftercare here and it became worse than it is now, it would be unbearable.. Also, because this was an incision surgery, there are many people with severe scars as if they had double incision lines, so I was too scared to know what would happen to my eyes if I got aftercare, and gave up on getting aftercare here. I also have a deep incision line now, and since there was almost no incision line from the previous surgery, I’m so shocked. Who nowadays has scars like this after surgery? I was very sensitive about scarring during the consultation, but they didn’t clearly tell me it would be like this, and they brushed off my questions, saying it would be similar to now and that open eyes were what mattered. I’m furious that they answered my questions so vaguely. Scarring was important to me too, so if they had given me accurate information, I would not have had surgery here. Even my eyes when closed are distorted now, and the inner corner is indented.. I don’t even know why this happened.. I should have posted photos and written a review, but I can’t, and that’s disappointing. At the last consultation, when I said the result had turned out strangely in this and that way, the doctor also admitted it (if I wrote out all my issues in detail, there wouldn’t be enough space..). They weren’t refusing to do aftercare or anything like that, but I didn’t have the courage to do aftercare here, so when I started to get up, they seemed uneasy and told me first that if I was dissatisfied, they would refund me, which surprised me. It has truly been a difficult recovery, but without ever hearing a proper explanation from the doctor, and getting cold stares as if my questions were contemptible, even if the result had been good it would have been fine. But now that I’m in a situation where I may need another surgery, I feel miserable.. Everyone, please make sure to check the reviews before surgery. The doctor’s career may not be short, but there was clearly a reason why the clinic had no review photos. I learned that the hard way after paying this absurd amount of money. --------------------------------------------------- Since the clinic left a comment, I’m adding a few more lines too. One of my previous surgery complaints was that the mucous membrane was visible, and during the pre-op consultation at Hi-Nun, I was told that the mucosal eversion was present, but it was within the normal range and would be hard to improve greatly, though they would still pay attention to it. I was told before surgery that it probably wouldn’t improve much, so after the surgery the mucosal eversion did not really improve, but the eyelashes were fixed a little lower so the mucous membrane looks a bit more covered, which is what I meant. I guess they took that as me being satisfied. Even if I generously grant that point and ask whether it didn’t get better, before surgery I told them that the line, eye-opening, function, and everything else should be a surgery that scores 90 points across the board. For example, even if the line and function were 99 or 100 points but the eye-opening was 50 points, I would still need revision, so the overall score had to be good for me to be satisfied with the surgery. The doctor agreed with me then. It seems like you want to say that since one issue was resolved, the surgery was fine, but they had already told me in the pre-op consultation that that part would not improve much, so I simply accepted that result. Everything else became worse than before surgery, and my eyes became distorted and strange, just a distorted triangular shape, so I’m now in a situation where I have to have surgery again. From my perspective, isn’t it only natural to conclude that it was a failed surgery? I really can’t believe how they can say that one thing improved, so it’s okay. At the last consultation, I thought they were acknowledging the result and bringing up a refund first, but since they did acknowledge the result and had indeed performed the surgery, I said I wouldn’t take a refund and left. So when they say that separately like this, I’m the one who is very confused. Doctor friendliness: Changed after surgery to the point of betrayal Consultation expertise: Long answers but no core; decent sincerity before surgery Staff friendliness: The staff kept clashing with the patient throughout recovery Clinic facilities: Skill matters more, and I don’t care much about facilities, so 3 points Surgery expectations: Disappointed with the result, gave up on aftercare I got a lot of help from even the small reviews posted in this community when I had surgery, so I’m posting this in hopes of helping many people too.
