I had buried epicanthoplasty and incisional double-eyelid surgery a few years ago. The epicanthoplasty opened more than I expected, so my eyes looked too close together and I regretted it. After the epicanthoplasty, some kind of scar or something formed, like an epicanthal fold. About 5 years later, one side of the buried double-eyelid line loosened, so I had revision surgery at another hospital. The buried line is neat and there's no trace when I close my eyes, which is good, but whether it loosens seems to be a case-by-case thing.
