It’s been 1 year and 6 months since I had double-jaw surgery and square-jaw surgery with Director Lee Jin-su, and as of today, my post-orthodontic treatment at Faceline has also ended. I originally worried a lot because of my underbite and asymmetry, and it was such a serious condition that chewing food was difficult. You could think of it as something similar to the people who appeared on Let Me In when we were kids. The case I remembered most was someone with a nevus, and after seeing a post saying that person had surgery at Faceline, I came here without even thinking about it. Honestly, in the beginning I was really struggling and even regretted it because the swelling was severe and there were so many restrictions. Of course, I couldn’t drink or smoke, and I even stopped my regular exercise for a month. But as my face got smaller and more corrected, I kept finding myself looking forward to my own appearance. That process made me so happy, and hearing good things from people around me raised my self-esteem a lot too. Beauty standards are terrifying, but after surgery and becoming prettier, the way people look at you socially really changes. Putting aside the surgery cost and how hard the process was, Faceline changed my life, so even if I could go back, I’d choose this place again and make the same decision.
