I thought the director was being rude, but hmm, that didn’t seem to be the case. He did seem a little playful, but not to the point of being uncomfortable or making me doubt his skill at all. And he clearly drew the line on what couldn’t be done. That was a bit surprising. He said my idea might differ from his method, but he explained why it should be done that way. There was no pressure at all. It was exactly the level I expected.
