I had reconstructive surgery because of a scar. The staff were kind, so the consultation was comfortable and realistic. I did end up with a new scar after surgery, but it's much better than before. The facility has a bit of an old-hospital feel. I'm now looking into revision double-eyelid surgery. You should assume scars will almost certainly form.
