Eye Surgery review at Chaejonghun (채종훈) · Double eyelid surgery · 2021-09-11

I had revision surgery because my eyes had deep fixation, a sunken scar, eyelash eversion, a pulled feeling when my eyes were closed, and a mix of overcorrection and undercorrection from ptosis correction! I had the consultation because it seemed like they knew the details from the blog, and I decided to have the surgery because it seemed like they understood what I was worried about... From the consultation, they were incredibly meticulous and answered everything I asked. Even during the surgery, they kept having me close and open my eyes, and even sat me up in the middle of the procedure to check my eyes. In the end, they released the deep fixation, slightly loosened the overcorrected ptosis correction in the front, and the back part got a bit of ptosis correction, and I’m satisfied.. Here, safety comes first and safety comes second, so I chose local anesthesia! The doctor prefers natural-looking eyes rather than doll-like, large, pretty eyes. Before this, I had surgery in Seoul and my eyes were deeply fixed, wide open, intense and very sharp, so when I wore makeup they looked extremely glamorous..! People who have worried a lot about functional problems after surgery will understand. It’s not about blindly making the eyes big and flashy, but wanting eyes that suit my own face and are appropriately pretty and natural.. The scarring was very severe, so it couldn’t be completely removed, but just having a looser fixation eye is already so good! What’s disappointing is that the hospital is very old, so I compared it to hospitals in Seoul with nice facilities, and I was also quite worried when I went into the operating room. It seems like they don’t advertise much, just a local hospital with some word of mouth (I actually liked this more, because I was sick and tired of the crowded, bustling hospitals in Seoul) And the nurses seem to also act as managers. They help out in the operating room, and are a bit on the blunt side… Still, the doctor was extremely kind.. The price is fixed, and it isn’t decided by a manager, but through consultation with the doctor! Before going into surgery, they said that even after surgery, a re-correction might be needed again, so I was nervous, but in the end the surgery went well and it’s been fine so far!
