Nose Surgery review at Gimhyeonseok (김현석) · 2023-11-25

I had surgery about 3 years ago from now. I had heard through the grapevine that this was a hospital opened by a director who used to be a top name at Dr.X Plastic Surgery, famous as an SM hospital, and I went there. As rumored, the level of expertise felt exceptional. The first consultation took nearly 2 hours. In fact, by then I had already visited more than 10 hospitals and had even decided on the place where I would get surgery, but after the consultation that day I was so shocked that I canceled right away and booked this hospital instead. From the reviews, it seems the consultation content is almost the same lol. The director has a very firm aesthetic standard, and he clearly says that people who want a flashy style would not suit him. Actually, I wanted a natural style, so I strongly agreed with his aesthetic sense. I think that was what led me to decide on the surgery. At first I went only for my eyes, but during the consultation the nose came up too, and since he said he would give a discount if I did it together with the nose, I ended up getting a closed rhinoplasty as well. Looking back now, 3 years after surgery, the nose was a total jackpot, and the eyes are so-so. About 75% satisfaction. Honestly, it is a bit puzzling lol. I went there because it was famous for eye surgery, but the nose turned out much better than the eyes. In fact, for the first year and a half after surgery, I was close to dissatisfied with the eyes. Why? Because one eye became sausage-like lol. Since one eye had weak opening strength, I had non-incisional correction only on that side, and only that eye became puffy like a sausage. That caused me some trouble. (Of course, now I had fat removal from the eyelids at another hospital, and miraculously the heights on both sides matched.) Even my acquaintance had it done here, and both sides became sausage-like, so they ended up undoing it. It was a huge relief that it wasn’t done with an incision... So for people getting double eyelid surgery here, I recommend avoiding non-incisional eye correction if possible. On the other hand, the nose I got as a byproduct turned out amazingly well. I looked into it and heard that non-open methods have limits when it comes to changing the shape or height. Mine also did not change shape dramatically. Still, it changed my impression in a very refined way without being obvious. The height also came up appropriately, so it looks slimmer, and my overall impression became more mature. Before surgery, I had such a round impression that looking young was a complex for me. Even so, nobody around me has been able to tell I had nose surgery. Even after 3 years, I have no particular side effects. In conclusion... if I had only done the eyes, it would have been money down the drain, but because the nose turned out so well, it was a very satisfying surgery. I recommend it for people who want a natural-looking non-open nose augmentation. However, if you want a flashy style or expect dramatic changes, I absolutely do not recommend it. You may be dissatisfied because it does not look obvious. As for the eyes... yes. Just do not get non-incisional eye correction only.
