It's been 2 months since my nose revision surgery. The swelling has not completely gone down yet, but I am very satisfied. Thanks to that, I gathered my courage and had my existing silicone replaced and used autologous costal cartilage for the revision surgery. Now the elevated and awkward nasal tip line has come down naturally, and even from the front and side it no longer looks unnatural, which is amazing and I am so satisfied. I was worried about using autologous costal cartilage, but they took care of me, so the incision site for harvesting the costal cartilage was short and healed well, and now it has faded a lot. Also, I had some concern that if it was done as a closed procedure, shape improvement might not be good, but that was an unnecessary worry because the director confidently said this was his specialty and that it was fully possible as a closed procedure, as he said, it seems the surgery turned out even better than open surgery without having to open it. Thanks to that, I was able to recover without scars, so nothing shows at all, the swelling was not severe, and recovery was faster than I expected, which was even better. After the surgery, the director personally checked every follow-up visit, and because this is a specialty nose hospital, aftercare was good too. Because I had contracture, I also received oxygen therapy as part of follow-up care, and washing my hair after surgery is difficult, but the hospital provided shampoo service and even cleansing care after removing the nasal splint, which was really convenient. Lastly, I was so grateful that the staff were kind every time I came in.
