Seven years ago, I had double eyelid and epicanthoplasty/canthoplasty surgery at Image Up Plastic Surgery. During the consultation there was not much explanation, but I decided to have the surgery because of the firm, confident attitude and a recommendation from someone I knew. But after the surgery, the canthoplasty on the back side became uneven and stuck back together too quickly, and my left eye had ptosis so the double eyelid became much thinner. After the surgery, they said they could not do much canthoplasty because the eye and bone were too close together, but that is something they could have found by feeling my eye during the consultation, so I do not understand why they recommended canthoplasty then.. And during the consultation they said that because I had ptosis in my left eye, it would be fine to just do an incision, but the left double eyelid ended up loosening a lot Still, it came out very naturally and the swelling was small, so I was satisfied. Oh, and for a while after the back-side canthoplasty, whenever the wind blew or cosmetics got into my eyes, I would tear up so much.
